Well that's not so surprising to me. If he's supposed to first appear in the season premiere, shows start filming about this time next month, so all the new casting usually starts up about now.

Great casting. It will not be difficult to top DCEU Superman, I think both the characterization and casting were mistakes.

Can't wait for this iteration and I can't wait to get a look at the suit. Hopefully they go with the classic look

Yeah same, I made a comment to someone on Facebook. They said "Booo where's Tom Welling", I said "fans are so typical and predictable with the Welling thing. And he replied " oh **** shut the **** up" I swear some fans give the rest a bad name.

Some of those welling fans are craziest fans I've ever seen. I saw someone post that cw had betrayed welling after his decade of service for them by not recasting him as superman

Great casting choice as he resembles the Superman from the comics.

I wonder if his Superman is going to be married with Lois by this point in the Supergirl series.

Can you imagine if Tyler's Superman meets Henry Cavill's Superman through the Crisis? Henry's S symbol resembles the Earth-2 version.

Interesting choice for Superman. I'm not really that familiar with the actor, but he looks more like Bruce than Clark to me. That being said, I'm looking forward to his portrayal of Superman. If it's like they did with Arrow, Flash and Supergirl, we should see the first picture of him in the suit in the coming weeks.

As far as his age, Henry Cavill was about 28-29 during the filming of MOS playing a Superman that was supposed to be a few years older (33, I think). Maybe they could do the same with this guy. They could say his Superman is mid-Thirties and the reason he looks so young is that he ages slower.

The only thing that gives me concern is how he will look next to Jimmy. I wonder if TPTB might have painted themselves into a corner by casting someone who looks like a footballer or underwear model as Jimmy. I feel whoever plays Superman will just look smaller in comparison. Here's hoping they'll figure out how to make that work.

It's going to be nice seeing Superman on the small screen. I never really understood why he couldn't exist on both the big screen and the small screen at the same time.
