Uncanny Avengers

Is Unchained even still going? I stopped reading after issues 2 or 3 and I don't remember seeing previews for a new issue recently.

It's ending after issue 9, which comes out in May or June, can't remember.

You guys see the Avengers movie? In my opinion, it was Marvel's very best film yet. Absolutely awesome. (Somewhat spoiler)-
Renner was upset about his part he had to play with Hawkeye being the bad guy in most of the film but i thought it went well with Hawkeye's real past. He was once actually a bad guy.

been reading it and kinda lioking it but i want to see the twins.

a question and a comment

should i go back and read avengers x-men? i know some of what happened but not all.

while i love john cassaday's art i hate how he makes cap look.

The only the you need to know about AvX as far as this series goes is that Xavier was killed.

And don't worry about Cassaday, he only lasted 5 issues because he couldn't keep a schedule.

4 issues. Issue 5 was by Coipel if I'm remembering those issues correctly.

Man, I just can't get myself interested in this new arc. After the way last issue ended (if the new issue came out today, I've not got it yet) I just feel like I'm wasting my time. It's making me feel like I'm reading Matt Fraction's Defenders all over again.

It's hard to take this stuff seriously when most of the members are all over the place in other books. This kinda stuff worked in Uncanny X-Force because the majority of the team were not seen anywhere else.

If you like the twins it would be more beneficial to you if you read Remender's Uncanny X-Force. A lot of what he's dealing with (the Apocalypse stuff, Wolverine's attitude toward killing) started in that book. With AvX you can probably just read the last two issues and be good.

Fantomex cloned him and raised him on a farm like Clark Kent.

The arc that really influenced Uncanny Avengers was the Dark Angel saga. Honestly though, the whole series is worth reading. One of the best comics in years. In my opinion, it took a slight quality dip twice... once with the arc that introduced Deathlok into the book (but it's important for later) and the arc with Captain Britain (not quite as important). Other than that though, it was fantastic. And honestly, I can't even say for sure if those two arcs are really mediocre or if they just feel that way due to how good the rest is.

I'd agree with those being the only points that the series dipped. I'm of the opinion that it was still very good during those arcs, just not as amazing as the rest of the series was.

Yeah I liked the Deathlok arc too, plus he became a great character later on

The Captain Britain arc I liked, but it was just hurt a bit by the strange art and it's lack of connection to the bigger story

Yeah, I agree on the Captain Britain arc. The art was what hurt it for me, but I did like how it ended and the ramifications that had for Betsy.

And of the two, the Deathlok arc was by far the better.
