I'll assume it's ok to ask here. I was able to pick up my copy of the Nathan Drake Collection today. I'm going through Drake's Fortune and I have encountered some very bizarre glitches.
The first occurred early on after kicking down a gate. Drake snapped into place, and moments later he stood, arms outstretched, frozen in place. I had to reload a checkpoint to resume play.
The second was, I think, just after. Just after killing an enemy, the game momentarily froze up on me, and then, seconds later, continued.
Another was just before a scene, again, he teleported to his position and when the game resumed, the animation on his legs became warped.
And the last I can say off the top of my head was a small moment looking at a map. I was supposed to see that map, but the game cut away and showed me Drake instead. I tried again, I could view the map.
Nothing has occurred since, outside of some stuttering which I'll assume are framerate drops. I have not tried the other two games yet. Fortunately, I have videos of all of this occurring recorded.
The first patch is installed, so that isn't an issue. I've been tempted into thinking it might even be the patch itself. Nothing, anywhere, in any comparison or review of early copies or from review sites, mentions issues like these. I don't even recall reading about stuttering, and we're talking isolated areas sometimes. No enemies, not large open spaces.
I'd also read texture pop when loading a level, like the original release, was gone. I had, in the same chapter it was always at its worst - early in the game, when you reach the main island itself, statue in the center, locked gate at the far end - the game texture pop. It was quicker to load, however, but it was still present.
I'm just curious, really. I'm curious if anyone else has encountered these issues, and I feel like I'm more likely to get a decent response here than some other sites I go to, where even so much as a mention of a glitch apparently means you don't actually own the game, or the console, and you hate video games in general, life, and suddenly have a personal vendetta out against everyone in the gaming world and should be ashamed of yourself.
