yea i knew it was something like that in 616 spidey cannon. I would like if they do the church bell tower for removal on pete and bonding to brock if not i hope it done good.

SSM Brock isn't religious, though. He's a straight-up man of science. I'd rather see Peter give it back to Connors only for Brock to get it USM-style than to see something that wouldn't make much sense. Of course, if they do something different I'm all for original stuff.

Plus, there's more than one way of ending up in a church. You don't need to be religious. If i recall correctly, Eddie didn't go to that church in Spiderman TAS because he was religious, Smythe was holding John Jameson hostage in exchange for the Prometheum X. Brock followed Spidey and JJJ to the exchange place.

It took me a bit to understand why Brock followed them to begin with, but I finally realized that Brock thought Jameson hired Shocker to get the photos from him and his suspicions were confirmed when he saw Shocker talking to Jameson in the Bugle building (or was it Jameson's home?). That's why he was blathering on about how Jameson and Spidey were plotting together to get him.

that show by far provided the best explanation and origin for Brock/Venom, everything else, including the comic has fallen somewhat flat

yea for the people who before talk about there is no reason for brock to be at a church or peter either since they are both not religious in the show. I and someone else once said a few days ago maybe peter learns of the sound weakness and brock who is following spidey for what ever reason they both can end up at a church belltower for what ever reason and wing bing bam there we go.

For some reason, I keep picturing Spiderman and Venom's first confrontation being in the rain. Like with them yelling at each other. Kind of like Leonardo and Ralphael in TMNT(2007); or Obi-wan and Anakin in Episode 3, with rain.

I'm imagining it on a rooftop, with them having a dramatic conversation. In USM, was Venom just a monster that could barely talk? I did notice the similarity, with the rain, though. Of course, most of my knowledge of USM, comes from the game.

So very true! I really can't get enough of epic battles in the rain or just overall rain as the main weather in films.
