Visualizing A Superman Reboot: Pictures Welcome - Part 1

Something like this would be nice...

Ditto, I just said that's what I wanted.

it makes the most sense for a reboot;

-no re-hash of "ice" fortress
-gives a wonderful reason for Clark to keep the farm by having a Silo/Barn FOS
-is more like a "supercave" than a boring and cold hollow shell; in the confines of realistic

Krypton in the Superman serial:

This is basically perfect. It just needs to be painted up in bright colors and those twirly bridges wrapping around the towers stand out rather jarringly, so they could go.

something along these lines for the more bad ass scenes.

I found these concept art pieces for Argo City (I think for a fan film):

And this is Ralph McQuarrie's original take on Alderaan for Star Wars:

The McQaurrie-piece is cool, though it reminds me of the "monotoness" of the design of Donner's crystal architecture. But I like it still. Has a very harmonic and organic feel and looks very clean.

This would be Fantastic :hrt: (I don't see the first three though)

I will say this however, I want small scale models like they did with Independence Day and the Fifth Element. No cgi for a shot like this. As little as possible. Like the two movies I mentioned.

I would love to see some actual concept drawings for the film...not giving away too much, but just enough to get our blood boiling and to get us excited for this movie. Something that will put any doubt people may have about this movie to rest. I have a feeling personally that this movie will be awesome...there is no reason whatsoever for it to suck. I understand Nolan isn't all that involved and it's sink or swim for Snyder but I've enjoyed his movies especially Dawn of The Dead and Watchmen. So I'm gonna relax and wait...patiently

I must admit though, I thought Azgard was absolutely beautiful, and if they could pull off anything like that i'd be happy. I just kept looking up at that film and thinking 'If Jor-el and Zod's scenes on Krypton are handled anything like this - this movie is going to be epic.'

god i would LOVE to see something like this. perfect balance between majestic and futuristic. i love how exotic and sci fi those designs look!

I don't want Krypton to be a rip off of something you would see in Star Wars...no thanks

the first picture i quoted from Willi Berg doesn't look like anything from Star Wars. that main building in the distance actually sort of reminds me of the 50/60's era concepts of what futuristic/alien buildings would look like...except evolved and enhanced.

Oh I'm not saying what you posted is Star Wars-ish but some of this stuff is...and I don't want to be sitting there and have to ask myself if this is a Superman movie or a new Star Wars flick.

well to be honest, no matter what they come up with...there are bound to be comparisons to SOMETHING. if it's too futuristic it'll look like a Star Wars city, if it's too fantastic it'll looklike Asgard (Thor) or Minas Tirith (Lord of the Rings)....even the last picture that i quoted Willi Berg with kind of reminds me of Tron.

It would be good to see elements that would make it more unique to the movie. Wouldn't want it to be as monotone in colour as the concept art shows here.

Cant wait to see the kryptonian wardrobe if we see it at all. They should probably be very imginative and as colorful as Superman's suit all with each their own design like the above drawing. And added the different crests.

Should be Santa on the nose there.

But I'd rather stick needles in my eyes before seing a plane in the reboot. At all!

I wouldn't mind a plane in the reboot as long as it isn't a major set piece.

Maybe a small news clip?
