So, you think any S symbol other than the chest's one is totally unneeded. But then again you don't specially care about another S symbol, other than the chest's one, being there or not.
When it comes to the cape, no, I don't have a problem with it being on there or not because Superman has been established with that type of cannon already...
but when it comes to other places... like the boots, inside the shield itself, the heels of the boots, the belt... yeah, I have a problem with it. The artists didn't do it before because there's no reason to have it there... it draws unnecessary attention to parts of the body.
Or is it that maybe in your opinion Superman can use an S symbol on the cape, but not specifically on the belt and boots?
there's simply no need to have symbols everywhere on the suit... especially so near the groin.
It makes it look like he's to compensate for something... maybe a bigger chest symbol?
Now how many people other than that 5% of audiences that are geek fans like us noticed or knew about the S pattern all over the suit?
Basically you're hating now something that cannot be seen.
from what I'm gathering on here, you haven't seen the making of Superman Returns, because it clearly shows and tells us that Singer thought it was a bad idea.
I guess you haven't watched it yet...
Or do you hate also the bricks pattern in Spiderman suit, since - let's admit it - bricks have nothing to do with Spiderman.
a brick pattern doesn't bother me at all... nor does the diamond pattern on the SR suit. I have absolutely no problem with a pattern design on the SR suit whatsoever, but there's no need to make it a

pattern, let alone an "S" pattern...
if there had to be a pattern, I would prefer it to be diamond based... IMO, it's a lot better, because it doesn't have an alphabetic shape to it.
If not a diamond pattern, then definitely an octagon pattern... it reminds me more of a smoother, more flowing shape because it resembles a circle, but it's more easy to connect with 8 sides
