Funny enough i wouldn't mind if Ronda Rousey was cast as one of the big she-hulking amazons of themyscira.

I wouldn't mind if Famke Janssen were cast as Hippolyta. I know she's already Jean Grey, but she looks similar to Gal Gadot and is old enough to be her mother at 50. She's also very tall as well at 5'11" so she would look truly Amazonian next to Gal.

Gal looks like Famke sometimes. And here she definitely does. They could look believably like mother and daughter, and there is a believable age difference even in real life. But not only that, Famke still looks fantastic at 50 and looks like an Amazon who still retains relatively youthful looks.

You could even imagine that at one time, Hippolyta was a Wonder Woman and wore the armour before Diana.

And Legolas and Thranduil don't really work, because Legolas looks terrible in "the Hobbit" films. It's not just that Bloom's age is noticeable, but that bizarre makeup made him look unnatural.

Well Famke doesn't look quite the same now as she did in Goldeneye. Make up isn't going to give her that look. And I was thinking that it was a long time ago that she might've been young and some kind of Wonder Woman as well.

Honestly, it would really be hard to screw up the Hippolyta casting because they are so many good candidates out there to choose from.
