Yeah, let's remember that, literally, the costume designer doesn't come up with outfits out of whole cloth by themselves... Yes, I made that pun... MOVING ON! No, the costume designer works at the behest and with the input of the director. That a designer made something you find lackluster in an earlier film means little since that was in collaboration with a whole other director.

Hopefully we get to see how the gods look

Watching the shot of wondy walking through the mustard gas, the metalic parts above the bodice look all gold instead of gold/bronze with silver lines like in BVS. I wonder if they changed the colors to the metal parts or if the cinematography/lighting is making it look that way

Suit seems to be in pristine condition in WW solo, given that it's happening hundred years before BvS, it's not as distressed and colors are brighter on it.

Do you want WW to have different costumes for different purposes like in the TV series? She had this swimsuit costume for swimming scenes:

I personally never liked that, and hope if she does ever go swimming, that it won't be such a full bodysuit like that at all but more like minimal clothing or a stripped down version of her armour. I can't understand why she would cover up more to go swimming than less.

I want Wonder Woman to have different costumes for different "purposes". But, I don't want them to be anything like the costumes on the classic TV series.

I would like to see:

- a more heavily armoured costume for when Diana knows that she will be facing significant threats;
- a more "superheroic" costume (i.e. a bit brighter, a bit more "modern") once Diana has publicly embraced her role as a superhero;
- a less warrior-esque costume for when Diana is attending public events related to her superheroics (or maybe just some kind of nice cloak-type thing which she can wear over her more standard costume);
- a more practical costume (shoulder straps, longer skirt, flat heels, proper / enclosed scabbard) for when Diana doesn't want to accidentally expose herself during battle (or embarrassingly trip over her own wedge heeled feet);
- if Diana is tasked with visiting Atlantis, then a more water / swimming friendly costume would make sense, although perhaps it would simply resemble more of a one-piece swimsuit; and
- a bunch of other costumes since there is no reason why Diana would wear the exact same costume every day (or a copy of the exact same costume every day). Sure, some elements should be constant across all of the costumes, like her bracelets / gauntlets and the eagle or "WW" iconography, but other elements can be changed.
