Wonder Woman Rotten Tomatoes Prediction Thread - Part 1

While I enjoyed the movie a lot I am shocked its so high on RT. This was easily a mid 80's for me.

I can see an 8.5/10 rating, but that's NOT what the 94% (or 93 or whatever) is. It is the percentage of fresh/rotten. Some movies will do better than others in that department (specifically those less divisive). Both ratings give you certain a certain type of information.

Dropped to 93% again. It only needs around five more Fresh reviews to get to 94%, but I'm sure another Rotten will arrive soon after. So I think it will bounce between 93 and 94 but after 300+ reviews it will likely setting into 93.

Both it and Logan are currently the highest rated CBMs on the Tomatometer since the 2008 one-two punch of Iron Man and TDK.

Armond's troll game is still strong.

People are entitled to their opinion and my opinion is that this guy is a bigger a-hole than The Guardians of the Galaxy. Someone finally makes a movie that isn't a mess and it's derided as WB making a politically correct move. Go back to your wooden characters with poorly played villains and enjoy yourself.

Stupid bricks with a "p" are entitled to their share of the air too.

I think the longer a critic waits to review a movie the less interest said critic has in a movie so the harder it is for that movie to please that critic. So the general trend will probably be downward.

The fact that this movie is going to finish in the low to mid 90s is fantastic. Good flick, definitely my favourite in the DCeU by a long shot.

Probably.

Agree on all counts.

I don't think there are really enough modern blockbusters with scores that high to really have a firm precedent. I mean, the higher the score the less likely it is to rise at any point, but that's math, not precedent.

This movie has pretty much sealed it's fate in relation to a final RT score. It's not going higher than 93% and it will probably even drop to 92% when it's all said and done.

So, 90-93%? I knew this movie was terrible. :o

How many positive ones to go up to 94 again ?

Right now it would need, like, 30 in a row, lol. So close to joining the holy trinity of Iron Man/Spider-Man 2/The Dark Knight at 94%, but hey, it's in good company with Logan, at least.

WB just played a "Certified Fresh" WW promo on tv lol. Get that hype

How many until it could get back to 93?

I wonder if people are trying to lower the score deliberately.

Think about it like this, for the rating to stay at 92% it needs 24 rotten reviews in a total of 300.

I don't think people are trying to lower the score deliberately. I just think that the more people that see it the higher the likelihood of more people having different opinions.

Spider-Man 2 really should be at 94%. Dunno why RT calculates it as 93%.

I could see WW bumping back up to 93% like Logan, but yeah, low 90s is nothing to cry about.

WW is now down to 92% so I doubt WW will ever get back up to 94%. Like I said earlier the longer a critic waits to review a movie the less interest said critic has in a movie so
the harder it is for that movie to please that critic. So the general trend will probably be downward. Doesn't matter anymore though. Now word of mouth is selling the movie.
All critics do is get the ball rolling or stop it dead in its track at the initial release time. Once a movie gets past the first weekend or so its on its own.

So you guys are sad because it is ONLY at 92%?
