Superman Returns We don't like how this movie is looking (merged)

I heard the main reason why DVC isn't getting good reviews BECAUSE it's too literal.

Meaning, they translated the book onto the big screen. However, there are certain scene don't work so well on film but work fine in the book. Does that make sense? They never adapted the scenes to make them interesting in the movie, from what I heard.

Hilarious - people actually think X3 has a shot at being better than SR? X3 is 95 minutes long and parts of it look like they were filmed in my basement.........

I do hope both films are good, I just don't have any high expectations for X3. Let's hope I'm surprised............

How do you know Singer lying about it? How do you figure out it cost more than $250 millions? Did you work for SR & find out the budget price? But I'm sure you're incorrect. You have no proof Singer is lying. I take it you're saying that, 'cause you hate Singer or don't like what you're seeing with SR or both.

I consider the Wall Street Journal a fairly credible source.

No, that is Milkman giving an old report that was proven false nearly a month ago. According to Mirko, it is nearly 2 hour and 20 minutes if I'm not mistaken.

Really? Last time I was at the X-men boards Mirko said 2hrs and 2mins.

Hmm...interesting.

Forgot to tell yall, went to see MI:3 last night...took this female, and we were watching the trailer...last one came on and she said it looked stupid as hell. Want to know what that trailer was of? It wasn't the movie about that remote control, it wasn't the movie with Steve Carroll as a chipmunk, it was the story of a dude with a red cape and a blue suit. I gave her a dirty ass look, the moved on... but from what I've been hearing from everyday folk, and my friends who aren't into comics and superhero movies as much as we are, they say it looks corny and too much "love story".

if it's 2 hours then i can understand...but if it's under 2 hours then it's gonna be too short to tell the story effectively.

& after he made that Thread a while later Mirko himself said his source may have been wrong

It's been confirmed by plenty of reviews that the film is indeed about an hour and 40 minutes, or around 95 minutes, which is truly sad........

It's under two hours. We've heard between 95 and 103 minutes.

see...i just don't understand why people get the assumption of too much love story when there was a total of 15 seconds of that one scene in a 2 minute and 33 second trailer!

Yeah, the over 2 hrs thing was just a rumour. I don't think it was ever proven.

Seriously, I can not even comprehend how the hell Ratner managed to get it down to under 2 hrs. There is SO much that is crammed into the movie that it wil be rediculous, either nonstop and just seem mindless, or everything is just touched on and barely covered.

Oh, please read my signature, the last words.

I bet if they were praising the movie, you'd use it as nonstop ammunition.

you're gonna tell us you won't be doing the same thing once critics start bashing the movie...

I think this is going to blow like fantastic four last summer. i like bryan singer but i'm not sure after seeing the previews for this.

I'm not the one going around saying that their opinions mean nothing.

OMG! I wrote that CRITICS ARE ALWAYS WRONG IN THEIR PREDICTIONS.

They said DVC will rule, and it sucked (as example what I mean).
