Transformers What did you hate about this movie?

Simply put the script in this movie should not have started life as a JOHN (Catwoman) ROGERS story. Simple as that.

I hated Transformers, it sucked big time. An insult to that which it is based on. The little time you do see the Autobots they're acting like the three stooges. And what action there is is really no big deal. Those who say it's good are those who won't admit to themselves it sucks.

Transformers was a breath of fresh air. Old school hero movies can still be good if done right.

i didn't HATE anything about this movie. there was nothing in this movie that made my eyes roll to the back of my head....yes, i even kinda liked John Tuturro just because he's Tuturro.

if there's one thing i HAD to say that i HATED, it'd be that the Decepticons were severely underused.

.....kept them mysterious...menacing and conniving. All of their attacks seemed coordinated, well calculated and really f-ing scary if you were caught on the other side of their guns.

The sequels always leave room for development.

Jazz's death made no sense to me! Also how the hell did he get in that situation? Bumbleebee getting shot into a wall and having his legs blown off allows him to talk how? Also Ratchet is a horrible medic!

He was better off saving lives by taking up his saw and blaster...

Jazz... a little WTF... but makes war seem a little more...blunt. Movies tend to over-emphasize deaths A LOT.

his meaningless death made Megatron seem all that more of a Baddass. He took Jazz ripped his ass apart, and didn't even give a #### while he did it.

Megatron was one evil SOB... I will keep repeating that after all this. Perfect characterization of evil.

• Didn't need an earth form because he's a badass
• Wakes up and says "I AM MEGATRON"
• Purposely causes damage and thinks humans are a waste...
• Ripped JAZZ apart
• Verbally abused Starscream after having been saved by him.
• Hard ass dialogue throughout the movie

The in and out of Starscream in the final fight. Lotta issues. I'm a huge movie fan, and this is stuff that pisses me off.

During Starscream's attack on those jet fighters in mid flight, if u watch closely u can see Starscream transform into his altmode and blend in with the other jet fighters. You can hear one of the pilots saying to keep a look out for him. Starscream was actually one of the jet fighters that shot down Megatron.

Are you sure? I saw him get into formation but as soon as they did that he popped out and took out several jets. He wouldn't shoot down Megatron, why go to all the trouble of saving him just to shoot him down later?

I saw the movie a second time and I watched closely and Starscream did blend in. You can see him stay in formation. My guess is he didn't like the odds. It also gave him a reason to attack Megatron. Starscream doesn't like Megs and would back stabb him whenever he gets a chance. It's just like the cartoons.

I think what annoys me the most about this movie is that, unlike the case with most other movies with a huge fanboy mob behind it, this one really could have been executed far better if some fans had written it.

I'd be willing to bet CFlash and I could pen a better script by next weekend...

Loved that he was uber-powerful and badass. Disappointed that he was stupid. I mean, he gets disoriented by Earth's magnetic field? What he's never been to another planet? What a navigator!

On top of the 2 lines we get in the movie (which were cool), I would have LOVED for something to show him calculating and intelligent... *like* this exchange from the first eps of the cartoon (which would have cost what? 30 seconds at the most of the movie?).

Megatron: “Starscream! What in the universe are you doing?”
Starscream: “Testing the energon cubes. They work!”
Megatron: “Of course they work.”
Starscream: “You didn’t know. You never tested them. I proved it.”
Megatron: “You only proved your defective mentality. Now we’ll need two strikes before we have enough energy to return to Cybertron.”
Starscream: “What’s the difference? There’s plenty here for us.”
Megatron: “The difference is time you fool! You’ve set us back!”

We see a couple of blows, then it cuts to the commando's killing the Helo Decepticon. When we return to megatron and Optimus, optimus is disabled, and Megatron is being pelted with missiles and grenades.

I think had there been 30 more seconds of the duel, giving the audience 30 seconds of Unleashed NBE Battle, it would deal with that slightly empty feeling I get after re watching the movie.

I would have preferred if at the dam, the Decepticons could have assembled together for a group shot. Then we get Megatron saying:

Megatron -"In formation" -in Cybertronian.

Then all the Decepticons line up military style standing at attention, or bowing to Megatron. Then as they're lined up, we get Megatron pacing up and down the line inspecting them, and delivering:

Megatron- "where is the cube?"
Starscream - "The humans have it"
Megatron get's in Starsreams face and says:

Megatron - "You've failed me yet again SS!''

Then as Megatron walks off we get a shot of SS, spitting at the ground and rolling his eyes at Megatron.

Then Megs says "Decepticon retrieve it, at ALL cost!''

..as we get a group shot of all The Decepticons transforming, and one more shot of SS looking infuriated with Megatron.

That alone could have been a one minute sequence, and would have meant the difference between briefly and effectively displaying the Megs/SS relationship, compared to what we got......but what's done is done.

me neither, it makes absolutely no sense to cut away from the climax, only to return to it when it is pretty much finished.

It's like watching the superbowl, you see the first 5 minutes, then the rest is commercials, til the last five minutes. So WTF happened in the middle of the most important game of the year?

guess bay and speilberg didn't think it was important.
