BvS What do we really know?

So do we know if the whole Kevin Smith faking a script is real or not? And if it is, should we disregard every rumor that comes out since then?

Nobody knows for sure. If it's false, then I suppose we go back to listening to all these strange rumors. If it's true, then basically almost everything we've heard about the film (at least from a story point of view) could very likely end up being false.

I had been hearing for a while that WB was putting out mis-information. This was just the next bit of evidence I saw. Even BadassDigest which received the script called it into question.

I hope it's true!! It would be brilliant and it would mean that there's still room for legit surprises.

Personally, regardless if the Smith deal is true or false, I'll still buy the Momoa and Fisher castings, but that's just me.

The latest alleged plot details sounded like fanboy BS to me , though the idea of Kevin Smith writing a fake script for WB also sounds phony as well. We're getting claims and counter claims from sites which themselves have been hit or miss so in that sense scoops from both of them sound be taken with a grain of salt.

I am pretty certain the Smith -bit is true.

It would explain Smith being in the know about certain things that would normally seem odd for him to know, as well as fit in with the whole misinformation game WB's is playing. But I still don't really believe it's true.

Yeah, Smith does seem to know way more than he should. I know he's friends with Ben but I doubt Ben is constantly feeding him information.

I think WB actually did float around some fake information back when MOS was being made because it was trying to weed out people who were leaking information.

It seems to me all Smith has said publicly is that he saw the Batman costume. I don't recall him giving out any potential plot points or spoilers. It'd be easy to make up some bs story that Smith wrote a fake script given his past history with WB and his relationship with Affleck.

I felt the story points about Carrie Kelly, Jason Todd etc were all fan service wishlist stuff and the idea of Smith writing a fake script sounds like more fan fantasies to get hits on your web site.

Smith also said that he saw the dates from Finke's scoop a while ago, but hasn't been able to say anything until now. So, he "confirmed" Finke's scoop I suppose.

As per the thread's title, all we know about that is that it's a nothing more than RUMOR. None of that is confirmed.

I can't believe WB would go all-out and just have all major members of JL in one go. I'm shocked. It's so many characters. You essentially need Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, The Flash, and Green Lantern. You can EASILY have a thick movie with just them. All this talk of Cyborg, Aquaman, Martian Manhunter... you don't need THAT many characters for a first film. Like, damn. Save some members for a sequel.
