The Dark Knight Rises What Do YOu Def. Not Want TO See

Do:
A Gotham Girl, ie. Harley Quinn (alone) or Catwoman?
Barbara Gordon being adopted by Commissioner.
A movie that matches TDK
Good cast
Good fighting scenes.
A helpful Alfred.
Bruce visiting Rachel Dawes' grave.
Vicky Vale or Silver st Cloud
Lucius Fox
Gilda Dent
Adam West cameo

Don't:
Eddie Murphy as Riddler or anywhere in the movie.
Batgirl and Robin
Batman's stupid deep voice.
Crappy villain no one has heard of
Show any sign of the Justice League or Superman.
Bring back Two-Face from the dead.
Re-Cast or bring back Joker in this film.
Set the movie anywhere outside Gotham (considering the movie is called Gotham)
Have crappy fight scenes.
Talia Al Ghaul

I dont want to see...

- Angelina Jolie as a Catwoman or Johnny Depp as a Riddler
- A Joker recast
- Sidekicks
- Ninjas
- Anything unrealictic like Mr. Freeze
- Totally new batsuit
- Killer croc
- 5-20 years between TDK and this movie

I want to see...

- Riddler
- A female villain. Maybe Catwoman?
- Arkham
- Something totally new, I don't want any Joker copies

I kinda like Poison Ivy, but I don't think that it would work at all in the Nolanverse :/

So no Batman? He is a ninja. :hehe:

I could go without fanboys going "OMG that's how the Riddler exactly sounds. His voice, pitch and tone are perfect. OMGZ!!!"

I remember when the first teaser for TDK hit and fanboys went crazy over the Joker's voice. His voice! I was thinking WTF?

I don't wanna see anyone other than Hans Zimmer and James Newton Howard handling the score..

The way they speak is very important though. Especially with Joker or Riddler. When ever I read comics I hear Joker speaking all jittery and exuberant. When I read anything with Riddler I imagen his voice to be softly spoken, cold and calculating. The way their voices are portrayed is very important, it's the transition from just writing to actual speech.

Because they created the sound of Nolan's Bat-verse, why give it to someone else?

Simply because they did a good job in Begins and a great job in TDK--that's why. No room for hacks like Tyler Bates and/or similar ones :hehe:

Whoops I mis-read your post thinking you were against Hans Zimmer, and Jame Newton Howard! Damn.

I was afraid I didn't make it clear enough :o me and my english-language insecurities :hehe:

Its an element to be sure. But the reaction to the first teaser was nauseating. The fanboyism was in high gear. That's exactly how the Joker sounds in my dreams late at night!!!!

Things I would really enjoy seeing:
1. Mr. Zsaz
2. The Penguin
3. The Riddler

Things I would not like to see:
1. Catwoman
2. Joker recast

I don't want to see Riddler as the main villain. He can't carry a film, unless Nolan radically changes him. Which he probably would.

^ reminds me of Anton Chigurh

I don't want to see:

-Riddler
-Penguin
-Robin

I do want to see:

-How they address how there is no longer a Batmobile
-How they handle Batman being hunted
-If the main villain is a good hunter to tie in with that theme, if that is the theme (Batman on the run and being hunted)
-No recasts. I want Oldman and Caine back. We already know Bale will do it if Nolan is attached.

Will people please shut up about the goddamn nipples? ITS OBVIOUSLY NEVER GOING TO HAPPEN AGAIN. even if they change directors, no one is ever going to make anything resembling batman and robin again. It did not go well for anyone involved. lesson learned, move the **** on. If its some kind of joke it stopped being funny long ago. the thread is for things you dont want to see that actually have a chance in hell of ocurring. Bat-Nipples, Robin and Man-Bat are not on our horizon. dont worry.

Speak to the nipples.

I definitely don't want to see Al Pacino as the Penguin, Cate Blanchett as Catwoman, or Johnny Depp as the Riddler.

Poison Ivy could easily work as a secondary villain who is committing terrorist acts on Gotham citizens with biological (read: plant based) agents.

It's all about how you choose to approach the re-write. I could even see Mr Freeze being reworked into a compelling secondary character. I think both their stories are a little soft to carry the leading role though.

Don'ts:
Clayface
Killer Croc
Jason Todd
Mad Hatter

Dos:
Dick Grayson (very limited, no sidekickery)
Penguin (backup villain supplying arms to main baddy)
Ivy working with Scarecrow to develop a biological weapon for main baddy

And the title for main foe in the next installment goes to:

Two-Face.

Damn right, I said it. You could easily throw in this curveball halfway through the movie and make it compelling. It would certainly throw the whole city into turmoil to suddenly find out the villain is the hero and the hero the villain all along.

Two-face could have dual motives: punish the people of Gotham for ever doubting who their true hero was (Batman) and punish Batman for taking everything from him. His goal ultimately being simple:

He wants to establish Batman as the true hero and then kill him, just like he thinks Batman did to Harvey.

Writing him back from the dead would be cake since he was never actually shown DEAD. They could have simply tossed him into some dark hole in Arkham to hide Harvey's true fate from the public, staged his memorial, and so on. Don't think it's implausible either... they already faked Gordon's death.

Nolan, I await a phone consultation.

DON'T WANT TO SEE:

New suit (Keep it the way it is)

No-one posing as the Joker (Unless they have some footage of Heath they can use which I doubt)

Bad actors adding comic relief lines that don't work
(Thank God, you have a panic room)
(That's not good.....That is NOT good)
(Nice ride) etc...

Catwoman

No mega stars as villans (Depp, Jolie...etc....) Stick with what has worked

DO WANT TO SEE:

Batman as the main focus of the film

Gordon with same or more screen time as TDK

No main villian but rather several villians trying to act out as the Joker did causing the people of Gotham to need Batman back.

Make the 3rd film the most dramatic because of dealing with what's going on inside of Bruces soul

Directed by Christopher Nolan (Kind of a no brainer there)
