The Dark Knight Rises What Do You NOT want to see in Batman 3?

- The Tumbler. I want a sleeker Batmobile
- The Riddler. I don't get the fascination with this character.
- Talia
- The Begins costume

I agree with the bold comment.

Riddler would be a great villain to mess with Batman's mind with all those riddles. Both previous movies have had a villain that challenged Batman mentally. Need to continue that trend. Plus Riddler's riddles let Batman show off his detective skills.

As much as I like the character, I think we haven't yet reached the full potential of him. Nolan could do something great with him. To me he seems like a logical next step in the third film. But I won't get my hopes up.

Agreed, I love The Riddler. Not sure if I like him more than the Joker or Two-Face (Two-Face being my fav Batman villain). But I think he is a largely ridiculed and under appreciated character like Mr. Freeze. Plus I think we need to see more of the detective Batman instead of action Batman.

The more important thing than messing with Batman's mind is messing with his actions or his morals. Ra's challenged him with opposing viewpoints as to how to deal with injustice. The Joker challenged him with the threat of pushing him far out of his human comfort zone to the border of becoming a monster. If the next film continues this 'Know your limits' theme, which it should, I don't see the Riddler necessarily being the right choice to do so.

The Riddler is not needed to show off Batman's detective skills. As far as messing with Batman's mind goes, he's not that kind of villain. He doesn't challenge Batman psychologically. He just challenges his intelligence.

Even the writing staff on the Batman Animated Series found him a frustrating villain to write as a real challenge for Batman. It's why he has so few appearances on the show.

Oh I definitely agree there is plenty of ways to show off Bats detective skills. The Riddler is difficult to well, be written good. But I still like the character, heck I like every Bats villain. They are sooooo well, great!

Well to each his own I suppose.

I would also like Riddler because I believe Nolan write him the way he's supposed to be and so people would stop saying that he and Joker are alike. I wanna hit something every time someone says this.

Riddler is difficult to pull off...all Batman has to do in order to thwart him is google the answer. :hehe:

The Joker

Batman revealing his identity or dying

Batman having any kids

Batman killing or using guns

I don't want to see any ridiculous poorly staged scenes where Batman can just appear in a fully lit room that's full of people totally undetected and unseen by the henchmen, the party patrons or the villian (even though he's standing right next to him) and only stands revealed when he says "Then you're gonna love me" and then all of a sudden everybody sees him.

Please no more of that.

lol. No more cheesy lines, too. xD

Agreed. Hated the bit in BB when Gordon says "I gotta get me one a' those"

Actually, "I gotta get me one a' those" may be my most hated hated line of generic movie dialogue ever.

That was bad, along with the "I'm not wearing hockey pads" line.

Which reminds me to add on the "Don't wish to see" list:

No lousy background 'actors'.
More lame example quotes:

"Things are worse than ever!"
"No more dead cops!"
"We're like sitting ducks!"

Seriously? lol.

I don't think there's anything wrong with any of those lines you quoted. Lines like:

"I gotta' get me one of those"
"Nice coat"
"Nice ride"

Much worse.

True. I guess it was more of the delivery that made it cringe worthy for me.

That makes more sense. The sitting ducks line was said by that irritating SWAT guy.

I've always thought that line spoken by that cop on the ferry boat when he says "Well we're still here, that means they haven't blown us up either" was such a stupid obvious self evident statement.

Obviously if you're still here then clearly you haven't been blown up.

He's Batman. Appearing almost inexplicably is apart of his MO.

I would not like to have David Goyer write the script.

Seconded. I've never found any appeal with her.

If they were going to add a female villainous presence, then I would much rather they went with pretty much any other villainess in the roster over Talia.
