The Dark Knight Rises What Do You NOT want to see in Batman 3?

Hmm?

OK, Batman being dark and brooding. its overdone, move on.
Any talk about the loss of his parents, covered in the first two movies.
Alfred, never cared for him.
The Bat suit, really lame. He wouldn't wear it in the real world.
Any Batman villains.
Christian Bale, he is overrated.
An older Jim Gordon, old people are gross.
Crime Fighting, lets try something different, like a comedy.
Batman, people don't like Bats. Thats why the movie "Bats" failed. Try something people like, like kitty cats or horses.

If Nolan does this all. I can smell "Masterpiece" written all over it.

I don't want everything to be blue again.

BB was all browns, TDK was steel blues... BM3 should have a brand new colour scheme.

Definitely, I do not want to see Batzarro, Calendar Man, or Kite-Man.

I agree with the colour schemes. Can't exactly see what they would go for, now though. I mean, what else can they do that would look good? Yellow? Green?...

They'll probably go with black/grey, imo.

I'd be cool with Black or grey.
Ideally, I'd like gold or orange but it'd probably wind up looking like a Bay movie or somethin'.

Since the chances of Riddler are highly likely, so also is the color green. Possibility of gold.

:awesome:

That's like saying TDK's colour should've been Purple, though, no?

Too true. Good point. Then, I vote gold. Although, certainly expected by some fans, I don't know if green would work well. Nolan and team surely do what is not expected.

It's been said by some people on these boards that using green would be too reminiscent of The Matrix movies.
I can see what they mean, especially considering both franchises are put out by Legendary Pictures...

At times.....the city in the Matrix and Gotham in the TDK looked similar to me....:O

Really? TDK's Gotham just looked like Chicago to me.

It's lack of individual character is one of my problems with the movie...

Yeah, the movie totally needed a gargoyle or three.

Would have made 2 billion dollars instead of just one.

Anyways, most people probably would have missed that the city looked like
Chicago. I know I did. Then, again, I did not gather any info, and much I'm doing for 3.

I didn't think it looked like Chicago particularly, but that's because I've never been to Chicago so have no real idea what it looks like as a city. I did think Gotham in TDK looked pretty generic though.

I much preferred Gotham in BB. The Narrows were an amazingly gritty addition, and even the central city had a bit of a grit feel to it, with the monorail rattling on overhead.

You're so right. BB's Gotham really felt like a city that needed Batman.

I think also that TDK's Gotham felt like a city that needed Batman. Just observe all the hysteria induced by the Joker. The one scene with the panic on the over-crowded streets and all.

Sure, but imagine that same scene in BB's murky, claustropobic, post-industrial Gotham... Better, no?

I will start by saying that I thoroughly enjoyed the atmosphere of BB. No, I don't think that the scene would have been better. Nolan proved that matters could be worse for Batman, even a non-obscured, wide-open area, such as the scene mentioned previous.

:awesome:

I mean to say that a murky, crowded, area, doesn't necessarily mean a better scene. Imo Nolan proved with TDK that he could do better than he previously did.

Ah, okay. We'll have to agree to disagree, then. I prefer BB's Gotham. It felt like much more work went into giving it a personality of it's own in that one.

If you disagree that's fine of course, but I think that given time, you will come to my reasoning, as masterpieces are meant to be watched over and over.
