The Dark Knight Rises What Do You NOT want to see in Batman 3?

I don´t understand why the people want to see always the same villains over and over again.
This is so boring! :csad:

It's not nearly as boring sounding when one considers the idea is to do the characters justice, see a GOOD adaptation, in Nolan's style, when previously when we saw them (over a decade ago, mind you), they were more or less **at upon.

I'm all for new-to-film villains too, but to deny classic juggernauts their chance to shine when they got punched in the balls before is just cruel, and frankly dumb.

I don't see why you're so extremist about it either, why can't we have both new and redeem the old?

I´m TIRED of seeing always the same villains, like Joker,Catwoman,Riddler,Penguin and Two Faces.
New villains...one or another out of these 5.
Black Mask,Hush,Deadshot,Talia Al Ghul,Hugo Strange and Lady Shiva are some villains I´d love to see.
It´s always good to renew,to innovate.
I don´t understand why the people want to see always the same villains over and over again.

What do you mean tired of always seeing the same villains!? Of the five you listed, only two have been on screen during modern comic book cinema more than once.

Christopher Nolan has already said Riddler will not be the villain of this film and he has long ago said he has no interest in Penguin or mentioned he would not fit in his world(I'm assuming he just meant because the Penguin has an unrealistic beak nose).

He's already shot down two of the classic villains to which many fanboys were not so happy so shouldn't you be glad with this decision? Guess you won't be happy until he eliminates catwoman too:oldrazz:

Well, I'd like a cameo, or for Nolan to do the character his way. Yet by that logic, there are a lot of characters I'd like to see fully or as a cameo in Nolan's final act, and Catwoman isn't at the top of my list. I wouldn't exactly whine and moan if she was in though.

I don´t want to see the same characters again.
No matter how they can be done by Nolan.
New villains,please!
I insist!

Yeah only two of the classic villains have been on screen, but the people want more.:woot:
More of the same villains used before.
They were not satisfied with Joker and Two Faces...they wanted The Riddler and now want Penguin and/or Catwoman AGAIN. :whatever:
Joker and Two Faces were enough for me.
Now I want to see some new ones never used before.
My God...is it so difficult to understand?
And yeah I only will be happy and relieved when Nolan eliminates Catwoman.:woot:
The bat needs to breath other airs. :woot:
The row has to walk, understand? :hehe:

I think Catwoman is part of the mythos , I hope to see her and it would be far from boring.

I'm not against using different villains though , Hugo Strange I'm also sold on

Why do you always put Two Faces? I'm pretty sure it's Two Face.

Well yeah I understand your dilemma. I mean I see it would probably be problematic if the series is rebooted after every trilogy and every director just wants to use the same villains for their trilogy(Two Face, Joker, Catwoman, Riddler, etc). But we aren't quite there yet.

I personally was looking forward to the Riddler but Nolan shot him down. It would have just been cool to get a serious take on the character, no? Almost all of the most famous characters from the rogues gallery has been used now thought and I certainly understand wanting new characters that we haven't seen before. I think the best bet though is to mix the two. Give us an a-lister and a new villain from the comics. As far as catwoman, it really goes either way for me. If she's in- great, if she's not I won't even bat an eye(unlike Riddler who I was really expecting)

But you won't be happy until you get Black Mask and Talia:hehe:

Oh,sorry,it´s because here in Brazil, everything that is in plural has the "S" in the end. :woot:
Ok,it´s Two Face.:yay:

I don´t believe neither for a second that Catwoman can be there.
Nolan and Goyer already said they will include some characters from Begins and/or TDK + some new ones never seen before.
It excludes Catwoman because she was used before.
I don´t see Catwoman being used again.
I simply can´t.
I put my money on Talia until the official announcement.
Black Mask I´d like to see but I don´t know if they will include him.
But I hope so.

Hey balehead, how is St Paul/Paulo? I use to live in Duque de Caxias, nice city.

Nolan and Goyer may have said that but they change until the script is done. Remember when Goyer use to say that Joker would be in part 3 and so would Two Face? That changed to TDK instead. I think Black Mask is just too boring as a main villain, maybe supporting though.

I think it was Goyer who said the "no Penguin no Catwoman" thing right? He also said no to Mr. Freeze (though I may be mistaken). Here's what I don't want to see:

Talia or Ra's Al Ghul (mention the League of Shadows but don't make them the center-piece of the story. Also, I really want the third film to stand on it's own, and Talia to me would only be a direct link to Ra's which I don't want. I want the new villains to be their own characters, and besides, Talia was never a real 'villainess' was she?)

The Joker (with a new cameo)

Bane (without the Knightfall arc - Hush is a lot more compelling)

DR. HUGO STRANGE! (Jonathan Crane should always be the 'psychoanalytic villain'. That cameo from TDK was all kinds of awesome).

Harvey Bullock (that bloke "Stephens" from TDK fills the role well, keep it that way. Give us a Sarah Essen and a Det. Allen, though).

Poison Ivy (not when Miss Kitty's yet to make an appearance).

Harley Quinn (just... no. Not without the Joker).

Clayface (even the Golden Age one. Are you telling me he won't remind the common masses of SANDMAN? I know that's an unfair thing, but hey, this is my list god damn it)!

Killer Croc (just doesn't feel right, even though I'm not THAT against the idea, thanks to Goyer himself writing Croc in Gotham Knight).

Damien Wayne (but you already knew that).

Chris Rock (wasn't he on the rumor list?)

Megan Fox.

Shia LaBeoulf.

Natalie Portman & Blake Lively (for the sake of having to suspend my disbelief...more).

... more later.

oh yes!

SUPERMAN. I don't want any other heroes coming near this franchise. This has nothing to do with the reason before this.

Well, I don't want to see any juggling, dancing bears.

I don't want to see any kind of insurance commercials.

I don't want to see Deadliest Catch references.

I don't want to see Spider-Man.

I don't want to see a head of lettuce on the street.

LOL Couldn't agree more.

I don't want a "Love Interest", However I'm all for either Catwoman or Talia to create some hot and heavy Sexual tension. That's the thing about Bats, he's always drawn to the bad girls, adds even more moral chao's in his already razer walking life.

Hugo strange. or any other c-list villain as the lead.

*DA Talia Head (I can just picture Chris Bale's Bruce Wayne and Micheal Caines Alfred getting a good hardy chuckle from that name!)

*Talia without Ra's Al Ghul

*Robin left out completly

*Bane

So I made a thread like this for the upcoming Green Lantern movie a while ago and it's going okay. Thought I'd do the same for the next Batman flick.

Here goes...

Another love interest.

The Tumbler (It's had it's time and it had a great last scene but it's time for a proper Batmobile)

The TDK underground base of operations... Batman belongs in the Batcave.

Batman killed off... ****ing ridiculous idea.

GO!

Robin!!!!

Anne Hathway. (Unless her character gets killed by the villain during the opening scene.)

Hugo Strange sounds interesting, but I don't want him to be the only villain. Make him a side-villain or something, but not the main villain. the next Batman movie needs a 'flashy' theatrical villain like The Joker, Two-Face and Scarecrow were. Some old bearded dude whos' obsessed with Batman won't cut it. (Though I doubt Strange will be in it, since he will play a large role in Arkham City..)

No new love interest. Bruce just lost Rachel. It's too soon for him to move onto another love. We need to see him grieve.

Ras Al Ghul. We don't need to revisit him, or the League of Shadows. He was a boring villain anyway. No Talia either, thank you very much.

Bane. He's just dumb.

I don't want them to use the streets of Chicago so much. Gotham looked neat with the sets they created for Batman Begins but the city looked so generic in TDK. Hell, even Starbucks made it in the film (not as bad as having a McDonald's in Batman Forever).

^ In that same scene, there's a "Chicago's Best Pizza" sign in one of the buildings. You think someone in post-production would've removed it digitally or something.

Anyway, I'm mixed on how Gotham was handled in TDK. It looked gorgeous, but it didn't look like Gotham. On the other hand, Gotham in BB looked terrible. Way too much cheap CGI was used. I think the next Batman should look like TDK, but with very subtle CGI to make it look more Gotham-ier.
