Add TASM universe into the MCU and I would do it right away. Drew Goddard and Joss Whedon have worked together before. The Sinister Six film could be the bridge that crossed over into the MCU. I think it boosts that film popularity and would help Spider-Man's solo movies in the future.

I think that you want.

Just need to dig your heart deeper :p

Do what the new rumours are saying. Add him to the MCU and get rid of Andrew Garfield.

No no no keep Garfield he is perfect. There is like a 99% change that who ever plays spider man after Garfield is not going to be has good that is the last thing they should do is get rid of Garfield.

I say do a TIH esque reboot. I'd preferably make a spiritual successor to the Raimi films, but I'd outright ignore the TASM series.

Garfield was ok, but I think he is vastly overrated. He is not perfect, nor RDJ good. We can do better.

Damn, a lot of people seem to be optimistic about a reboot within the MCU!

Relax dude.

Garfield isn't going anywhere. Those are just bs rumors. Like the past ones.

Definitely prefer Garfield's Spider-Man to RDJ's Iron Man. Obviously RDJ's Stark is far better than Garfield's Peter Parker. I think Garfield is a better actor than Downey from what I've seen of their respective movies.

I'm absolutely being serious. Iron Man (not Stark) isn't much of a character, he turns up throws a few punches and leaves.

As for Garfield v Downey acting wise, you need to see Garfield indie movies and then come back and talk to me.

GAh there is a good idea, Re-cast the lead who just so happens to be an incredible actor and "Reboot" the franchise but keep all this sinister-six nonsense. Genius, But the best part about it. The Problem with these Spider-Man movies are that SONY hasen't learned to keep their hands out of the fxckin cookie jar and let people do their job. The Sinister Six subplot was added to the movie Super late into production. Garfield talks about this and DeeHan. Avi is the problem, Marc Webb as well for not having balls to say " You hired me to direct this fxckin movie, So let me direct it!"

I Actually enjoyed TASM series so far. But you can just Sniff the SONY **** that covered the movies. (PAUSE).

Movie 1: They took out the "Truth about your Parents" plot to save for the next movie. So the movie left open ended about a subject no one actually cares about. But this movie had a more personal feel. A smaller story and digging into the relationship with Peter & Gwen.

then.....

Movie 2: They do a complete 180 and all of a sudden the camp is oozing out of everywhere & it feels like everything is brighter & I'm watching Captain AMerica running through the streets fighting chitari. So after the switched tone cuz SONY thinks thats what people are looking for now. They completely force feed us a sinister six and don't even include the villian from the first one who is already somewhat developed. So we have all sorts of characters to develop new villians to introduce & THAT PARENT PLOT from the first movie to finish. Not to mention the whole "Death of Gwen Stacy" going on. It had no chance

Sony has their finger prints all over this failure and expect us to just accept this soft reboot crap. NO.

I think they are close and not only that but RDJ is much older like 15 years or something so he has more experience to get better and better.

Well, that makes 1 of us.

Speak for yourself. If a DC came out for the ASM movies you think they wouldn't sell?
Not in today's home video market and not with the reception the second film got. People who think that a directors cut of the Amazing Spider-Man films are assuming two very wrong things:

1. That the home video market is as strong and vibrant as it was five years ago when it's not. Director's cuts of films thrived when people bought lots of physical media. That era is now dead with die-hards essentially focusing on blu-ray.

2. That the reception to the Amazing Spider-Man series has been excellent. It's been meh at best.

1.4 billion for two movies, not including merchandising and DVD/BR sales is hardly 'meh'.

That number is set to increase even more with the future movies. They know what they are doing.

Fox would do it. They take great care with their DVD sets.
