GAh there is a good idea, Re-cast the lead who just so happens to be an incredible actor and "Reboot" the franchise but keep all this sinister-six nonsense. Genius, But the best part about it. The Problem with these Spider-Man movies are that SONY hasen't learned to keep their hands out of the fxckin cookie jar and let people do their job. The Sinister Six subplot was added to the movie Super late into production. Garfield talks about this and DeeHan. Avi is the problem, Marc Webb as well for not having balls to say " You hired me to direct this fxckin movie, So let me direct it!"
I Actually enjoyed TASM series so far. But you can just Sniff the SONY **** that covered the movies. (PAUSE).
Movie 1: They took out the "Truth about your Parents" plot to save for the next movie. So the movie left open ended about a subject no one actually cares about. But this movie had a more personal feel. A smaller story and digging into the relationship with Peter & Gwen.
then.....
Movie 2: They do a complete 180 and all of a sudden the camp is oozing out of everywhere & it feels like everything is brighter & I'm watching Captain AMerica running through the streets fighting chitari. So after the switched tone cuz SONY thinks thats what people are looking for now. They completely force feed us a sinister six and don't even include the villian from the first one who is already somewhat developed. So we have all sorts of characters to develop new villians to introduce & THAT PARENT PLOT from the first movie to finish. Not to mention the whole "Death of Gwen Stacy" going on. It had no chance
Sony has their finger prints all over this failure and expect us to just accept this soft reboot crap. NO.
