MARVEL PLS

This picture got my heart racing... I'm sick of the PS3 looking Spider-Man font. This is so Marvel!

Just watch the announcement be the Namor rights returning and that they're making a Howard the Duck movie. :hehe:

Let's look at the facts and rumours:

- Sony are changing their direction with Spidey
- Marvel and Sony are allegedly having talks
- Andrew Garfield has signed a new contract
- Marvel are holding a big event and are providing the press with wi-fi, suggesting that this news is pretty big
- The Russo Bros have said (don't hold me to this, I may be mistaken) "there are characters we're using that we don't even have the rights too".

Hmm... Spider-Man.
Couldn't they be speaking about Quicksilver? Isn't it a shared thing between Disney and Fox?

I doubt it, because it's shared, therefore they both have the rights.

I'm unable to find the source to that interview too, so I might be horribly mistaken on that. :funny:

Phase 3 is more likely than Spidey I'd say.

Marvel are going to want to announce it to lots of fanfare and attention and make DC's announcement look drab and boring.

Though I'd be happy to be proven wrong. Especially if we get both :woot:

The Russos definitely said that one character involved they didn't own, yeah.

So definitely not a Quicksilver/Scarlet Witch/Skrulls situation.

another way of looking at it, marvel currently have their stuff planned out for the next few years so if they say put spider-man in captain america 3 with iron man and such they will pretty much be throwing him in as either garfields continued spider-man which probably would work better then throwing in a rebooted version into the mix in a story thats probably more for capt and tony (even though it called captain america)

and then you kinda go well why announce spider-man if they don't plan on using him in the next few years, obvious capt america 3 would be the best choice for that since guardians 2 wouldn't and thor 3 wouldn't, dr strange probably not and avengers 3 would be what 2018? so yeah capt 3 would be the most likely chance... and if not its abit premature really to announce WE HAVE SPIDER-MAN BACK YAY...

unless its a tv series but personally i think it would be way to expensive and marvel wouldn't already be planning this out so quickly, they ain't that desperate

I feel like Marvel have several plans for several situations.

They have a plan for characters they currently own
They have a plan for if they get the rights back to certain characters

I mean, look how fast they announced the Netflix shows after Daredevil came back. XD

It's gotta be Spidey then, because from what we know about Cap 3... it's Civil War.

I agree. I mean look at Batman.

We saw a more fantasy, gothic, noir type world in Burton's Batman with how he designed Gotham and the villains.

Nolan gave us a much different take being more realistic.

There isn't much you can do for Batman next to get people interested. I mean fans online hate Nolan's take for some reason but the GA loves it. Having him with Superman feels fresh.

You can't really be as creative in Spidey's world as you can with Batman and Superman's because Spidey's villains roughly has stayed the same along with the fact he takes place in NYC.

I remember Burton's Superman Lives artwork had a more futuristic Metropolis like a society on the pennicle of human.

You can't really do that with Peter Parker.

There is LOADS you can do with Spider-Man. The big screen has barely scratched the surface of all the stories you can tell.

spider-man would be a big character likely reduced to a small character in a big pond in Capt 3

he won't be in guardians and dr strange ect ect

just have to see i guess, to me it feels like one of them things where if you think about it you can see why it would be abit odd but if you don't think about it you can enjoy the fantasy

Spidey has had 5 solo films in 12 years. I'm perfectly fine with no solo Spidey film.
