What will be the next Marvel Recon?

It's been so long since I've seen it... :csad:

But the moment I saw the title, that scene where the 'book' goes flying popped right into my brain.

I need to rewatch it, myself. I think I may do that this weekend.

I need to pick up the dvd, myself. I'll definitely do that this weekend.

I like Tony as a *****ebag. It makes sense that he'd be an arrogant dick. I'd have a harder time believing that a corporate CEO and high-profile, supergenius tech designer would be a perfect model of selflessness than a *****ebag.

being close to death would make someone selfless...but he hasnt been that way in a while

Yeah maybe instead of moving Spidey back they should have taken Tony back to being knocking on deaths door

Really? If I had a near death encounter I would be the most selfish person on Earth.

Nah, I see the validity in that. If you almost die as an indirect result of your own selfish, violent actions, you might want to change your ways and maybe try helping people for a change. Still, Tony was a corporate mogul for years, and a certain level of ruthlessness must necessarily accompany that. I think it fits perfectly with the character for him to employ those same cutthroat corporate tactics even when he's trying to help people. It's what he knows.

It also fits with the Knaufs' portrayal in his comic, where he seems to be trying to rein his more extreme tactics in in Cap's memory. I like how they're showing what a profound effect Cap's example had on Tony in subtle ways.

would you be selfless if you were nearing death and you knew you could do something to leave the world a little better than it is.....

Well...one time Tony became a evil murderer....and they brought Tony from the past to battle the present Tony.....and then it all got erased

The entire King Thor future timeline got retconned out of existence due to Thor and Tarene's intervention, all the way back to just before Thor's murder of Jake Olson. King Thor froze time at that point, re-merged the two, and imparted his memories of the future timeline to the now-whole Thor of the present. Present-Thor then sent Asgard back to its own dimension and decided to stop hand-feeding humanity every little thing, realizing that that would help in the short term but cripple them in the long term.

is Spider-Man still an undead human-bug version of himself?

do you at least remember what I'm talking about? There was that story a couple years ago when Spider-Man dies fighting Morlun, then comes back and eats him or something.

Yeah, "The Other." Don't worry, you're not the only one who hated it. It's one of the most reviled stories in Spider-Man's history, in fact.

What rank would you say those go in now? My guess would be 1) OMD, 2) Sins Past, 3) Clone Saga, 4) The Other. People are actually getting over the Clone Saga at this point and somehow appreciating it with more impartial eyes, and, in a truly mind-boggling feat, some people actually just flat-out enjoyed "The Other."
