While I think most of us would prefer an R rating
An R-Rated Batman is as wrong as a man with huge knockers.
If I was to add a poll, I bet there would be quite a sizeable proportion of posters who would be in favour of an R-Rated batman.
there was one before...about 25% wanted R.Try it! I'd be curious to see how that would pan out.
Not really, an R rated film would be perfectly valid considering what Batman does. Not that we'll ever see one
Well, there's ben tons of these rating-threads. But I've always been of the opinion that Batman most definetly does not need a R-Rated rating. Its not Watchmen, and it isn't Sin City. Hard PG-13 ? yes. but its still a superheroish character and a world (even if Nolan goes for realism and Batman ain't technically a superhero). Batman and superherocomicbooks are in desperate need for new and fresh readers, and therefore i find it selfish to make big Batman-boosting events like a quality film to be something that only adults would be able to enjoy.
As low as comicbook sales are today, there's still a bit more playroom to make something adult every now and then in that format. I don't really think there is in Batman.
Hell no to a R rating or a 18. People seem to forget that this is Batman, not spawn or sin city. He is an icon worldwide, to think that a movie which would pretty much alienate the kid fans could ever be greenlighted is a preposterous idea. You can kid yourself thinking R rated batman would be a "truer" interpretation of the character, but to me, one of the great things about the batman franchise is that it appeals to such a large audience. Nolan's films cleverly entertain the kids, while keeping it on a level that make more mature audiences happy. thats how it should always be.
PG 13 and 12a all the way.
