What's the average lifespan of a SHH poster?

Its days like this that I wish we had a bigger place and more cash. We have a drawer in our bedroom. We had to put clothes in the top of it when my sister came to stay.

 You can fit all your entertainment materials into a single drawer and still have room to put clothes on top of them?

:wow: How old is your sister that you can't even afford to let her find out about your "toys" accidentally?

*trying to imagine NOT discussing SEX with my sisters...*

I'm in my sixth year, and no signs of slowing down.

My sister was 13 at that point. She's got auspergers syndrome. Not much more severe than me, but enough that it makes her awkward. I'm the eldest...

Bear in mind, I'm only 18. I've only had the cash to be buying this sort of stuff for a year or so, and even then, building up the nerve takes time at first.

No Red ... I am a married spud who tries to behave but between you discussing your bra size going up to a D after children, my photographic memory, OCD and the whole Hot tub conversation ... :ghost: ... I am doomed ... then the discussion moves on to whips and :ghost: ...

:)

Double. Headed. *****.

Maybe I was raised wrong, but I've never understood this idea that if you watch 2 hours of TV, you're normal, if you go to see a 2 hour movie, you're quite cool and fine, if you read a book or magazine for 2 hours you're the man, if you listen to the radio for 2 hours you're rad, if you play a video game for 2 hours you're a good ol' guy, but if you enjoy a message board for 2 hours you're a loser.

The Hype is often much more entertaining than TV or a bad movie or reading the paper and doing the crossword puzzle. Everybody likes to be entertained. Some prefer interactive entertainment.
Why the big stigma?

Yes, there are people like GAH, but you'll find GAH's in every time-passer.
There are utter subhuman freaks who are so obsessed with movies that they have no friends and build their lives around film festival schedules (as seen in the excellent documentary "Cinemania" which I reccomend).
And, George Clooney loves films, sees every new movie that comes out, and he has a great life and is swimming in cosmic poon....

And what is "grown up"?
Some of the most respected and envied "grown up"s on Earth spend all their time hitting balls with sticks, and playing catch, and trying to throw a ball through a hoop.
Is Stan Lee a victim of arrested development because he has white pubes and still constantly talks about a guy with Spider powers that he made up over forty years ago?

Same reason I don't get these "guilty pleasure" threads.
On your death bed, who cares? No matter how you choose to spend your fleeting time on Earth, you're still gonna die. Might as well enjoy doing whatever it is that you enjoy.

bumping this from the last page. everyone should read about Clooney and cosmic poon.

:o BLAST... I keep forgetting that not everyone on these boards has my broad range of experience to fall back on ;)

(and yes folks, the PUN was intended :D)

Red I would find it ... but then my whole desk would be on fire ... :)

:ghost: dangit! I gotta stop that. Very embarrasing having spontaneous combustion ...

Looking now for old thread ... :)

:csad: I still get acne occassionally... beginning to wonder if there IS an age when it stops

My mother still gets acne, and she's pushing 45. I don't think it does. But hey, people who produce a lot of natural grease are less likely to get wrinkles. My mother has absolutley none.

mmmm....natural grease

I'll keep posting as long as it's relevant.

Many will, I believe. As long as comic book adaptations are popular this message board stays alive. Once it ends SHH will die like comingsoon.net.

Yeah I believe that the Community is stronger than before. I used to only frequent the X-Men forums but I only come here.

I only lurk in the other forums, waiting for there to be some movement up here...I can get spoilers from the other forums without wading into discussion that seems to have been going on for years.

Even then, the community forum will live on...

You say that now. The reason we all joined SHH was to talk about the comic book adaptations. And, thats what keeps us here. The community is just a place to waste time while we wait for news.
