Regardless of your race, your creation of your thread seemed self serving and attention seeking.
Actually:
My thread proved how hypocritical, trite and petty, a lot of people here were.
On my part it was completely passive - You only got out of it what you put into it, I made no attempt to run it and every attempt to let it be exactly what it should've been.
Only to hi-light the flaws in a lot of people.
those folk chose to ignore the concept and go after the originator attacking me for every facet they could've changed themselves AND putting every telling attribute that they would JUSTIFY as the reasons why "they" would start such a thread.
Nah,... I hardly went looking for attention, I only responded to questions w/o an agenda and posts directed at me.
You are in error to believe that thread served me more than to show me who here is really limited.
I'll remember the ones who got their tail twisted on this and acted like children that didn't get what they wanted.

Peace.
You ought to start being honest with yourself.
You yourself said that it was imperative that a Caucasian thread should be made "ASAP" because you were scared they'd close down the Soul Glo lounge.
It did not need to be made "ASAP".
Someone who had the right motivations and inspiration should've been the one to make it.
Your rushed, uninspired and mildly insulting thread radiated "suck", which alienated me, for one.
Another poster said "I can't post in a White person's thread that was made by a sexist, racist Black man."
No one wanted Soul Glo shut down. They wanted equal rights to be able to make their own thread devoted to other races/cultures.
Soul Glo still exists, and people are free to make a thread for other races/cultures, so there's no problem anymore.
People are just going on and on about stuff because they don't understand what really happened,...like the guy who thought it was so unfair that "they" took away Soul Glo, when, in fact, LIGHTNING STRIKES took it away and said that it was a victory, not a failure.....or raybia, who thought people were "working to get Soul Glo closed", which is untrue as far as I know and as far as a mod has said.
Just because people didn't like your thread, and hated the title you chose for it, does not mean they are "limited".
LOL, how arrogant of you.![]()
It was perpetuated because instead of admitting the truth or saying "Whatever", you kept "defending" yourself and the thread with untrue statements that in turn, drew more criticism.Please.
My thread could've been ended by post TEN after I said that ANYONE who didn't like it could take it over OR START THEIR OWN.
Instead we got PAGES of folk whining about it.
Yes, you're describing this thread, and all the people bemoaning the fact that Soul Glo was "taken away" when.....there is currently a Soul Glo Lounge and the original was not taken away, but ended, by it's creator. It shows a SERIOUS lack to require change via tantrum and put forth reasons that when the reasoning is met or resolved the same people continue the tantrum.
Who thought the thread was "wrong" ?Well They got what they wanted because the Mod who shielded the thread has grown tired of the blatant hostility inherent in defending a thread that lazy thinkers have determined to be "wrong" because it doesn't leave them with the "warm and fuzzies"
Meh: Admitting the truth = Saying that I'm just as petty as the ones promoting the closure of the slo glo thread Because I couldn't (Heavy Sarcasm) open a thread for the right reasons. It was perpetuated because instead of admitting the truth or saying "Whatever", you kept "defending" yourself and the thread with untrue statements that in turn, drew more criticism.

Who thought the thread was "wrong" ?
I've seen Dew say a few times that she doesn't understand why groups cry out for inclusion and then segregate themselves, but who thought the thread was "wrong"? I'd be interested to know.
I thought it was great, except for the racism.
They always suddenly have "somewhere to be" when they start to realize how in-the-wrong they are.
It's easier to just admit that you're a flawed human being!
It's okay, we'll still accept you.![]()
I would like a little peace around here.
Why not just have a multi-cultural thread?
Varient said:Yes,...
I'd like to enjoy the Holiday,... but of course that's not a good enough excuse to "pause" a discussion.
(trip)
We're all adults here. Surely we can't be that PC that we need one single multi-cultural thread to discuss things that are non-white.
I am at my mother's and my sister is braiding my hair while I am sitting at the computer
I was so obviously not being serious.
It's.......*BrOiNg*.......THANKSGIVING DAY.
Practically everyone has somewhere to be.![]()

You had better not be talking about me.
I liked the thread. That's why I wanted to make a similar thread for White people and why I also like the Asian thread.
I don't see why you would defensive over my comment if you know that it doesn't apply to you. Believe it or not, you are one the few posters on the Hype that I greatly respect, though I don't always agree, mainly because you are so upfront with your thoughts and almost always explain your reasoning with the positions that you take.
So if I was talking about you I would not only tell you, I would confront you with it but that is definitely NOT your style and that is another reason why I respect you.
MY problem was, the same thing you said:
If that's true of the Black thread, then it should be true of the White or Asian threads, but according to Dew, the White and Asian threads were closed because of questionable posts inside the threads.
Do you know what that's called?
That's an "unfair double standard".
If Erzengel was a mod, and he started an Asian thread, so you started a Black person's thread, and then they closed both threads, BUT Erzengel was allowed to open only his back up, you know DAMN well you'd think it was wrong and gross.
DAMN well.
Also, it was PROVED that the Soul Glo Lounge was a haven for anti-White racism...because Dew said, yes, she was not policing it, because she thought LS would.
When she finally looked at the thread she said she was appalled at some of the stuff she saw and that it would not be allowed to continue.
What a mess, The original one spawned some spin offs, they were all merged into one of the old "Hi, Bye" lounges b/c it seemed a lot of them were taking the piss. LS' thread was so big that Morg didn't know what to do so Dew closed it as she said.
Ideally at the time the stupid ones should have been trashed and the 2 legitimate ones left but that didn't happen.
Things have since been rectified but the initial incident of LS re-opening his has still left some upset for it to remain an issue even after the go ahead was given for other culture threads.
No one worked to get it closed, I don't know where you get that idea from.
I know. I said that the unfair double standard came in with the closing of threads, the deletion (or merging, I don't know) of threads and the re-opening of threads.
I agree with everything you said here but that "unfair double standard" that you speak of is not the fault of those posters who liked and supported the Soul Glo thread, it was the result of poor judgment and communication of the Hype administration team .
