Paranormal Activity 4. It was pretty good. Nice touch using the webcams that are present in nearly every laptop in place of the surveillance cameras in the first one.

Raiders of the Lost Ark on Blu-ray. 10/10. :wow:

To think I used to only be able to watch this on a crappy vhs recording. Picture and audio are astounding, seeing it again really feels like it's for the first time.

God, the map room scene...

Shame - I guess it was alright, it was on HBO and heard some good reviews on it but after seeing it I'm like, "That's it?", is this what critics were raving about? It's basically Michael Fassbender plays a sort of sex addict and copes with the usual goings on in his lifestyle now that his sister played by Carey Mulligan drops by.

Oh yeah it's NC-17 so expect to see more of Fassbender than usual. :p

The first half was clueless.

Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters - 6.5/10

I enjoyed it for what it was. It doesn't strive to be smart or serious, but I had a lot of fun with it second go-round. 3D format looked good for the most part.

Zero Dark Thirty - 3.5/5

To be honest, I feel this doesn't really even deserve a Best Picture nomination. I much preferred Bigelow's The Hurt Locker over this. Jessica Chastain has a few great moments but overall her performance isn't really Oscar-worthy, but she can keep her nomination. The writing at times is outright pathetic, using swears just to make the characters seem serious, but to no avail. This is especially true with Maya. It's just outright lazy.

The film does manage to preserve the interesting documentary style look that Bigelow used previously in The Hurt Locker to good effect, besides moments where they shaky cam just becomes distracting. It remains cinematically effective. The final raid on Bin Laden's compound is probably the best sequence in the film, occuring completely in real-time. It never holds back, it's unflinching and it feels real, with each kill as blunt and sudden as it should be. The torture scenes aren't as controversial as they are cracked up to be. Overall, I'd rather have Skyfall nominated than this.

This is 40. I thought is was funny, being a dad and husband, I can relate to some of the situations. Not to mention it was pretty funny.

7/10

Resident Evil Extinction
7/10

My first time watching it, didn't expect to like it

Die_Hard_2.jpg

9/10

I never understand the hate for this film. Yes, the original and the third were definitely better, but it was pretty damn good when viewed as a standalone film. Not to mention it got the most badass "Yippee-ki-yay" moment in the series.

Resident Evil Afterlife
7/10

Not a bad movie, last enjoyable Resident Evil movie for me, or at least that's how I feel before watching Retribution a second time

Looper

Men In Black 3

Faster (2010)

It's hardly award winning or anything to write home about.........but by god it was fun!
