Between this and Man with the Iron Fists, it looks like he needs to stop stealing roles from Michael Jai White.

Exactly. I think Rza works better behind the camera and creating music.

Looks beautiful on Blu Ray. Especially Rosario Dawson. Good lawrd.

I'm Not There (2007)

I've never been a huge Bob Dylan fan, but since he's such a musical icon, and the cast just looked too interesting I had to watch this when it was showed on the telly. Several actors play Dylan in this VERY free handed "biographical" film, and it's pretty cool that both Batman and The Joker do their own characterizations of him here.

One of my absolute favourite actresses Cate Blanchett gets a shot at it as well, and although it's perhaps sounds like a weird idea, Blanchett just shows how well she can transform herself into various characters as well as Bale and other male stars who often are mentioned in those matters.

It's a quite special flick, and personally I enjoy the actors' performances more than the actual "story". But this is of course not meant to be the ultimate Dylan biography in first hand either.

I found the fight scenes much easier to follow than most of the recent action films that rely on shaky cam. Also I thought the RZA was the worst part of the movie. That guy should not be acting.

I agree with both points!

I'm wondering if there's going to be a Director's/Extended cut on home video. There was a scene that they took out, where Snake Eyes and Jinx tear the **** out of a bunch of Cobra's men near the end of the film.

I think the director's experience with Step-Up actually helped him this case. He said he placed a lot of emphasis on movement.

I hope the extended cut deals more with the devastation of London. It felt weird to see that almost glossed over.

The Godfather
The Godfather Part II

Tonight... The Godfather Part III. I've never seen it before, but I'm well aware of their place in pop culture, so I'm going in prepared.

Redemption: The Stan Tookie Williams Story. Forgot how great this movie is. Jaime Foxx kills it as Tookie
