Parker

Wow, awful acting all around. Forgettable film. Usually Jason Statham movies are fun

Routh should have been given another chance & with a proper Kryptonian bad guy for Superman to fight.

Yeah I liked Routh, disappointing Returns was a rehash of the Donner films.

decent bio flick.

This past week:

Man of Steel (twice): Liked it better my second viewing. Costner and Crowe making me feel all sad and ****.:csad:. I will probably go back and see it again later this week.

Serenity

Before Midnight- A lot more tense than Sunrise and Sunset. A good follow up to the characters now in their 40's.

LEGO Batman: The Movie

A very fun and entertaining movie. Anytime Clancy Brown reprises the role of Lex, is aces with me, and I was pleasantly surprised that the Danny Elfman score being implemented as much as it was. All in all, I liked this quite a bit more than I was originally anticipating.

"Traveler Tales" games use movie music on their games, that's the reason for using Elfman's score

Man of Steel (IMAX 3D)

A damn incredible film, my man Zack has done it again and thankfully he rebounded after Sucker Punch. If DC wants to build on their cinematic universe, this is the movie to do it on. Loved the scenes with Krypton as the opener and Russell Crowe as Jor El is one of the few who stole the show. Cavill as Superman was near perfect in my eyes. Another show stealer was both Shannon as Zod and Traue as Faora. Faora kicking ass was incredible. The action was non stop and that's what I wanted out of Superman for years. If there's any complaints I would say that the pace wasn't as good as I hoped but I have the feeling it'll be a lot better once the directors cut show up. Also, don't bother watching this in either IMAX or 3D, the IMAX doesn't show the entire screen and the 3D was barely there, except for the space scenes.
9/10

We Own The Night
8/10

Man of Steel

9/10

Loved it. I can't wait to see it again.

Rocky - Real Steel did the end fight better. :o

Man of Steel - Exactly what Wesley said.

Annie Hall - I still can't decide if I like Woody Allen. His movies are incredibly enjoyable, but his characters are so insufferably vapid I want them to die horribly.

Superman Returns - MoS made me want to watch it.

Hänsel and Gretel 8/10. Ridiculously stupid and hilariously awesome movie

Man of Steel(3D)

I steel give it a 10/10 and even picked up on things that I missed the first go around.

Man of Steel 7/10. Really liked it, obviously followed the blood right story. Found a few things that could have been better, the fight scenes reminded me of DBZ which I liked a lot, chuckled to myself a lot during them. I felt like a few things could have been better executed like how Lois Lane just scales the side of a glacier is no problem and some other small things. But what can I say, I'm a harsh critic when it comes to comic book movies. I really wanted to give it an 8, but for my experience i couldn't. Was worlds above of the not to be named superman movie. Maybe if i watch it again I can maybe find something that i missed and bump it up to an 8, but for now I'm at a 7.

The Departed (2006)

Can't believe it took this long to finally watch an unseen Scorsese flick. I knew from the original (Internal Affairs) that it was a great police story, and the American cast is of course wonderful. I read that Nicholson improvised many scenes with Di Caprio, maybe that's why the scenes with Jack and Leo are my favourite ones.

Now I really need to rewatch the original again. I remember it as likewise great as Scorsese's remake, but it's been quite some years now.

BTW, Vera Farmiga is a way underrated hottie IMO.

Both are fantastic. I hadn't seen First Class in a long time, I forgot how much I enjoy it.

Superman Unbound

This is a Superman story I actually hadn't read in advance before this animated film. Having not read the original story, I of course can't tell if this was a good or bad adaptation.

Anyway:

Cons: I was watching my Max Fleischer Superman Adventures DVD from 1941 the other day, and of course it's way, way superior art wise than this flick.

Pros: Lois Lane was awesome as a character, Supes really had his awesome "gonna save the world" moments, and the Kandor story with Supergirl and classic villian Braniac really made me so frakking glad as a Superman fan from the early 70's. Great classic Superman story IMO.

Well, apart from the art I really enjoyed this Superman flick.
