'Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade'

It's my favorite Indiana Jones movie and one of my favorites of all-time. Perfect adventure movie. Harrison Ford and Sean Connery are one of the best pair-ups in cinematic history.

With all the complaining I do about how I'm tired of all the exorcist and ghost films they keep pumping out, something about James Wann's films are enjoyable. I really liked the first Insidious as well as The Conjuring. I was expecting to be letdown by Insidious 2 but I actually like it better than the first movie. I love sequels that truly tie things together from the first film.

I felt it was great that it was the character Josh in the spirit realm(part 2) that was banging on the front door and setting off the house alarm in the first film. Little things liked that elevated this series for me. Like in most ghost stories and tales, ghosts tend to reenact moments from their past life, so in the spirit realm I guess time doesn't exist or have a meaning at least. So for me it kind of made sense Josh was able to jump around different points in time to the real world. It's still sketchy but it worked on some level for me.

In terms of craft, it's right up there with his best. Some of the visuals are breathtaking. I found certain story elements underdeveloped, but it doesn't take away from the overall piece. It's not my favorite of his films, but certainly worth watching.
