A Million Ways to Die in the West

Disappointing is a word I'd use for this. Great cameos and a few funny scenes, but quite a weak effort overall from Mr. MacFarlane. 6/10

Oculus

This was half of a movie. They could of made this really interesting easily with their set up, but decided not to. I dug Katee Sackhoff and the kid actors in it, if it weren't for them, this movie would be total dogs**t. Karen Gillan plays a utter crazy b**** in it, no question. The fact her character forced her little brother back into it was pretty careless. But anyways, the scares was barely there and the story kept going around in circles. Also a odd nitpick, but if you want to convince your audience this takes place in the past then you should switch out those LCD computer monitors and put up some CRTs. place Overall, I was surprised that I didn't fall asleep during it.

Enemy

The director Denis Villeneuve went from the next David Fincher in his film Prisoners, to a carbon copy Nicolas Winding Refn bull in this movie. Seriously, this had a great set up, yet it tried to be too art housey for the sake of art house. You can see a great performance from Jake Gyllenhaal and some others, but most times the film was keeping him too quiet. The look of the film is nice, i'll give em that.

Sherlock Holmes 8/10

Not as bad I thought it was going to be. Despite the story not being that great there were some genuine laugh out loud moments in that quirky way I expect from Wes Anderson. These 3 brothers really are quite the dysfunctional bunch, and the interactions they have with each other are enough for me to recommend give this one a shot (even if you don't like generally like Wes Anderson).

7/10

Watched 2nd half of Ocean's Eleven on cable. Love watching this cast again 8/10

Battle: Los Angeles

Despite the action they somehow made this a boring movie. It could have been so good but it was so dull.

2.5/5

2.5/5 Not as funny as the show or their other two movies. Then again this was a bit of a stand up routine for a live audience.

5/5 One of the best spoof films ever.

4.5/5 Haven't watched this in quite a few years but I still feel the same about it, it's far better than Back to School which seems to get the most praise.

3/5 Entertaining but copies too many other heist/robbery films.

5/5 In some ways better than 12 Years A Slave, which wasn't all that special other than the cast.

The Grand Budapest Hotel - 9/10

Charming movie with unique characters and an engaging plot. The fasinating fictional country is stunningly shot, too. Only pulled down by the unnecessarily complicated framing device and some needless quirkiness. Still, I wanted to visit this hotel in its heyday and felt a pang when it was revealed that [BLACKOUT]it had been demolished.[/BLACKOUT]
