8/10 Underrated cult film!!!!

Mannnn I remember that old school Swamp Thing!

Started Jupiter Ascending earlier today and gonna truck through the rest later. Saw Terminator: Genisys at the theatre and Jupiter is way more interesting.

That's a damning statement to say the least.

When I started the movie it took me a while to decide if I cared about what was happening or not... I don't particularly care for Tatum or Kunis. But as the movie progressed I wanted to see what happens. Through Genisys I started asking myself why should I care, which I don't think a movie has forced me to do yet, ha. Sad it's Terminator though, :(

I actually didn't think Jupiter Ascending was that bad. It was silly, and convoluted, and Kunis wasn't that good (I didn't have a problem with Tatum, actually), but it was entertaining, and the eye candy was tasty.

Wild Card

I believe this is a remake of a Burt Reynolds movie called 'Heat' from 1986, I've never seen it but I only found out after reading up on this movie after my viewing. Statham does alright, he's a down on his luck, mopey bodyguard that's got an addiction in Vegas (cliche alert!) and finds himself in a spot of bother after helping out a friend. The fight scenes were decent, but the story was a bit over the place. 6/10

Agreed. It took a me a little while to get invested in the movie but I thought it had it's moments. A few really solid action scenes, some great shots, like the those of planet Jupiter. It's nothing if not unique.

There is some cool action and some of the ideas work, unfortunately others misfire badly while Kyle Reese and Sarah Connor are woefully miscast. Arnie is mostly on form but they misjudge the humour and heart of the human/machine relationship that Cameron worked in so skillfully in T2. 6/10

Shout at the Devil (1976)
