Laputa: Castle In The Sky (1986)

Man Made Monster (1941)

Just caught this on Svengoolie and loved it. Lon Chaney Jr gives a great performance. It's one of those classic stories about a monster whose not really the bad guy so the ending is always tragic. It plays out pretty formulaic here but it's done well enough that it's definitely worth seeing. The pseudo science is silly fun plus Lon Chaney glows through half the movie what's not to like.

the man with the iron fists 2

Superman: The Last Son of Krypton (1996)

The first two episodes of TAS edited into an animated film. The words "Goodbye Kal-El" no matter what medium or iteration will always give me goosebumps.

I remember in the build to Man of Steel rolling my eyes at the idea of another Superman origin. Then while watching it I had an epiphany, the origin of Superman is one of the greatest, most enduring, most iconic stories we have as a civilisation. It continues to be passed down from generation, to generation. So yeah, good job humanity!

iron man captain America heroes united

The Avengers: Age of Ultron

10/10, it is my second favorite film of all time.

A little ott. Stories like King Arthur/Illiad/Gilgamesh/Journey to the West have been around for millenia. Superman hasn't even been around for a hundred years yet.

Porco Rosso (1992)

Top Secret! (1984)

Avengers: Age of Ultron

It had a few moments where they obviously had to cut for time or references were lost from editing (or just easter eggs you'd have to be in the know to get like Wakanda which is both) but it was still a great movie.

I was also surprised at the route they took with Bruce/Natasha. I wasn't expecting Whedon to advance that story (although they did handle it better than the internet would/has).

Safe House
Texas Chainsaw Massacre
(1973)

Draft day. Pretty decent, much better than I was expecting

Cleveland Abduction
