Proud Mary

It's a movie that markets itself as a modern day blaxploitation movie, but it never really delivers. Outside of the opening and the closing action scene, this was pretty much a run of the mill action thriller with all the trappings that usually shows up. Taraji P Henson was trying more than the others, but she couldn't save it. Overall, it's just dull.

The Titan

It's a very barebones scifi flick that deals with a small group soldiers who are chosen for a genetic experiment in order to explore Titan. This movie really wanted to be a prequel to Avatar so badly they got Sam Worthington. What's disappointing is the majority of the movie is about them going through the procedure and training for their mission. Story wise it had some great potential, but since the budget was low they couldn't really go all out on it. Overall, it's okay but disappointing.

Avengers Infinity War Marathon: Iron Man (2008)

It's been a while since I last watched it and for the most part it holds up pretty nicely. I still wished they had Faran Tahir fight RDJ at least once. I finally got around watching the deleted scenes and I didn't even know they had a whole section where they went to Dubai. That was wild.

The film that took the series from second tier action films to blockbuster event franchise. 8.5/10

Thor: Ragnarok

I, Tonya. In 2017. Have yet to see anything in 2018, and as of right now, can't.

I Don't Feel at Home in This World Anymore. (2017)

Avengers Infinity War Marathon: The Incredible Hulk (2008)

I don't get why some fans give this movie a hard time. Rewatching it, I forgot how well they made this. It's a great move by them for not making this an origin movie. And how they were able to reference the past was great. There's a lot of small moments that didn't involve Hulk was great and I wish they added the stuff that was cut out. It would have made the movie even better.
8.5/10

Cabin in the Woods

Not as clever as it believes itself to be. I don't get this film in the context, we as the audience are supposed to take it.

I enjoy it but it's 'subversive', the 'jokes on us' path, for me, is wasted, if you give away the 'clues' drip fed from the very opening scene, or maybe that's why I don't get it.

6/10.

This remains I think, one of the best origin movies of all.
