Definitely! I felt so much nostalgia and filming in 16mm was a great decision.

I applaud the movie for making Freddy scary again and the super meta plot is intriguing but the 3rd act is pretty terrible.

Dead Silence

Damn I never expected this film to be so damn good. The first thing I noticed was the incredible music, It adds so many layers of fright. Most horror films today forget that. The story was pretty damn awesome and creepy, you can't go wrong with a horror film about a ventriloquist doll. Also since the director did Saw, the ending was really well done.

It's a good premise but can be uncomfortable to watch because of a tense rape scene. The leader of the criminal pack (Dillahunt) plays a very convincing scumbag. It's uplifting to see the family get poetic justice on them.


The Amityville Horror (2005) 7/10

Reynolds does a great job on his portrayal of someone descending into madness. The film could of been better if they scaled it back a bit. Some of the scares are over the top and unrelated to the ghosts haunting the house. It's still effective and enjoyable to watch.
