I am extremely confident they will keep trying with one of their most popular characters in one form or another. Marvel obviously wants to continue on with Hulk or they wouldn't have brought up wanting to place him in other heroes movies / The Avengers.

If they gave Punisher 3 films they'll give Hulk 3 films. (The difference being that Hulk movies may have underperformed but they were actually good.)

Whether or not it's a reboot or not... that's another story, and I wish it didn't have to be as I love the universe they have created here.

I think the next solo Hulk movie will indeed be another re-boot, and i dont think we'll get it in 5 years either, but longer this time. Shame, I would have liked to see were Norton and Leterrier would have taken this.

I seriously doubt that, Feige was incredibly happy with the money made from TIH, and as good as DVD sales seem to be going, I doubt they'll reboot again. From what I recall, when the 2003 movie was out of theaters and on DVD, they came right out with news for a reboot. If that were the case with this, then they'd have told us by now. In any case, if Marvel does reboot, they won't make any money at all next time.

That's funny because by comparison, I thought that Lee's Hulk looked more cartoonish with that unrealistic shade of green. Not to mention his baby fat.

'08 looked simply amazing to me but if I had one critique, I'd say that his skin was maybe abit too glossy in some shots. I've heard alot of people complaining that he resembled an action figure and were immediately turned off by the animation. I still love that one over Lee's.

Much closer to the comic's look.

What is an "unrealistic shade of green"? So '08 had a realistic shade of green? I'm not sure what that means.

I think he meant the 2003 version had an "unrealistic" shade of green, which others would just say was too bright.

OK, too bright for his preference, I can understand. But "unrealstic shade" doesn't make sense, considering we are talking about green skin.....which is unreal.

I guess he just meant that it was too bright, seeing as there's no such thing as an unrealistic shade of green. In any case, I didn't mind the color at all, but I like a darker green for the Hulk.

I bought the DVD last night. I don't think the latest Hulk was more realistic than the 2003 version. Having more details on the surface doesn't always make one look more realistic. I don't care about which green is more convincing. Nobody has green skin so what does anybody know? But the gloss made him look more like plastic. It's like spraying fake tan on a bodybuilder before he goes on stage. At times the face looked like something drawn by Rob Liefield.

Size proportions don't mean much because we don't know what a ten foot tall muscular man really looks like. If we look at today's tallest people they're pretty skinny. Also being more ripped doesn't make one look more realistic either. An off-season season bodybuilder is just as real as when he's prepared to compete, except he's not wearing fake tan. Maybe the whole wet, glossy approach was inspired by Aliens' appearance.

The glowing green eyes was a good change, but I liked how you could see some of Bruce in the 2003 version.

Pretty much agree. I really liked the '03 design during thr first transformation where he too was 9' tall. Had they kept him that size the entire movie..and yes, made him a tad darker shade....that would have been the perfect Hulk to me.
But like someone earlier said, it depends on what Hulk is your preference.

Like Aldar said (thanks btw), it was too bright; he looked like he should've been on a Marvel vs. Capcom game. I'm not expecting you to agree with me but his skinshade was alot more cartoonier than the '08 to me. Compound that with trying to suspend your disbelief it's just more noticable.
I was just retorting to your preference that's all. These things will never truly be settled; everyone has a favorite.

No problem, I knew immediately what you meant, just that you said it in a different way. I can see why you would dislike the '03 shade of green, it was a bit bright, but it didn't bother me too much.

the pants on the 03 Hulk look atrocious. They just look so fake...

That's one thing I COMPLETELY agree on. I don't care what kind of pants they are, they'd have some sort of rips on them, the Hulk's pants in the 2003 movie had no rips at all, at least not in the desert scene.

That's because those pants were probably designed to stretch and accommodate him--they were given to him by people trying to induce a Hulk transformation, after all.

Right, right...but still, they did look a tad bit ridiculous. They should've had at least a few tear marks.

Although I prefer the Hulk 08 overall, one of the most realistic scenes involving the Hulk was in Hulk 03 in San Fran after coming up out of the street. His shorts were not convincing in that scene though.

No the "Do-Over" wasn't announced until 07. Avi was going on and on about a sequel up until Zack was announced as the writer.

Well, Arad has never seemed to be a good source anyway.

In any case, they have a winning formula this time, and I'm sure they know it.

Lol, after looking at the special features...what if we had gotten a bald headed Hulk. :D

^ I'd have gone down to Marvel studios and kicked the living crap out of someone. :cmad:

There'd be nothing wrong with a bald Hulk, but I will say that what we got was best and I'd have been there as your backup. :D

I'm heavy handed, and work out a lot, you let me take care of the bigger men, little guy. :D J/K
