The Dark Knight Which of these should be Batman's sidekick in the sequels?

For all those who say 'No sidekick', may I ask for them to give their reasoning? I'm not looking for an arguement (those tend to happen on their own) but I'd like to gauge your opinions?

1. He doesn't need a side-kick right now. He's just learning the ropes of what he does. The Robin's main purpose, as far as I know, was to replace Batman at some point. But he hasn't been around that long to start worrying about his future.

2. Batman should not get a side-kick until after he meets up with Joker, and realizes what a crazy mixed up world he lives in and how badly he needs somebody to trust, besides Alfred.

3. Side kicks are stooooopid. Don't you know anything?
