I think you missed her point in that statement. She was countering the fact that you generalized a group of people as being so great at basketball with another group who happened to have a great basketball team. Hence the sarcastic remark, "Are we to hear Greek stereotypes from you now?"

i get the point of the counter... but just because greeks beat a mostly african american team doesn't make me want to say most greeks are great atheletes either... i mean when i ramble i might sound like a complete idiot and i do apologize for that... but i'm not that dumb. And i do believe there is some truth to generalization and stereotypes.. yes many are outdated, but many stem from some form of truth. Is it wrong to assume everyone in that group is that way? hell ya. which is why i said several times not all fit into those generalizations

ill give you that... sadly though if you ever live in LA you see several of those assumptions turn true. Which makes me wonder... do we pay attention more to the stereotypes when they happen to that specific nationality and less on those who don't fit that stereotype when they become guilty of it?

Now think about it....not true is it. There would be no such thing as the black people walking around because according to you black people are in jail.

Your stereotypes and assumptions aren't even adding up right either. If black people are all better athletes, then why aren't all black people athletes? WHAT ARE THEY DOING IN JAIL? Doing your math, they would be in jail becoming better, taller, stronger athletes, right? Or did I not add that up right, after all I am black (what I'm doing on a computer, I just don't know) and I'm a woman, so my math skills may be a little off...

You are using stereotypes and blanket statements desperately to try to prove your points. I threw in the line about women as a sarcastic joke to prove how assumptions do not work.

I won't be able to. Especially not with all the crap that keeps coming out. I have yet to see you post anything that isn't an insult or a stereotype. This isn't the first or second time you've been caught with these kinds of blanket statements when referring to any kind of Black person or people. Personally, I can't stand racism, but I do have to admit that happens. Having lived in the south for some time, I've seen that people tend to put themselves above others simply because of skin color. They act like they deserve special privelages simply because they're white.

Sorry enough to say, though, being white, I received the same attitude from blacks, hispanics, and asians simply because I was white. Apparently I have to be racist simply because the people around me are.
