Taylor Schilling, 30

- Right now she's enjoying popularity and success on Netflix's Orange is the New Black. Who knows how long that show will last, or how her career will take shape afterwards, but as of now, she seems like a prime candidate--one who Marvel can scoop up for multiple films.

Emily Blunt, 31

- Blunt's resume pretty much speaks for itself. She's got the talent and the edge as seen in Edge of Tomorrow / Live.Die.Repeat. She'd be a great choice, for sure, and her star power seems to only be growing.

Finally someone else suggesting Taylor Schilling! I think she's perfect. She's likeable, funny, charismatic, and a great actress. I can actually see her interacting with RDJ and being on his level.

Blunt is my second choice too.

I don't get all the love for Emily Blunt. I'd rather see Jessica Chastain get the role, with more bankability as an actual lead, and a better acting resume (Chastain got two coveted Oscar noms; Blunt hasn't received any). Plus, Chastain is American, while Blunt is a Brit, and I'm frankly tired of watching Brits snatch up all the juicy roles as Americans. Let an American play an American for a change.

Like I said earlier in the thread, Chastain was always my #1. Then last week I discovered she's 37. Certainly not old per se, but over the course of a potential franchise it may be to Marvel. She'll be 41 when CM hits. If the movie is a hit we're talking sequels, at least two years apart, probably three. She could be pushing fifty by the end. Too old? She may not look it but I get the feeling Marvel may go for someone a bit younger. Now if Chastain got the role I certainly wouldn't complain, she's fantastic.

Ideally, I'd go Chastain, Blunt and then the rest. Realistically I'd put Blunt #1, Chastain #2, and then I'd take a flyer on Dormer.

Maybe Ashley Benson.

Personally, I'm all for Emily Blunt - she's a terrific actress and certainly would fit the role and rest of the team.

However, Marvel likes to take risks with their casting, so I would expect someone like Taylor Schilling, Brit Marling or Brie Larson - loved by critics but relatively unknown to wider audiences.

Glad to see Blunt's leading the poll. She could balance all the elements of the character really well, and all the elements of Marvel movies - humour, action, the lot. I really hope she gets the role
