First Avenger Who Is Composing?

Oh, well even if it isn't him doing it I'd still like the score to be patriotic but at the same time not sound like every other generic WWII piece.

James Horner and JJ had a falling out quite some time ago, and since then he's only worked with different composers.

Didnt know that - that's a damned shame as I love Horner's work and some of his past scores tell me that he would have been perfect for Cap.

But I'm a big admirer of Giacchino. If anyone else could do a note perfect score for this movie, it'd be him.

I didn't know it until a few days ago. He also seems to have ruined his prior relationship with Ron Howard.

Alan Silvestri's wife has said on Facebook that he will be scoring Cap.

I guess I could live with that. Granted, I havent been particularly impressed with his recent stuff but the guy did give us the Predator music.

Silvestri's been lagging for a while now. But Johnstone always manages to get good work from his composers so I'm excited.

i just looked up his filmography, it's filled with solid but not particularly memorable scores. the highlights imo being the predator series, the back to the future series, and forrest gump

Silvestri? That's awesome! He's really versatile, but one of his specialties is popcorn movies with rewarding hero themes.

totally stoked for this, Silvestri has done awesome music for movies, even the bad ones. Van Helsing and the Mummy had amazing scores and he even had a neat soundtrack for that horrid Mario Bros movie...oh and he composed PREDAOR, FORREST GUMP AND BACK TO THE FUTURE.

Back to the Future is one of my top five scores of all time! He's done so much other great work too, from Predator to The Abyss and even good music for otherwise mediocre films, like Judge Dredd.

Everything about this movie just seems so old school, in a good way. Between Johnston and Silvestri, it feels like a 90s movie. That may sound horrible to some, but I loved the 90s.

Wow! I have to admit, I was excited about Powell and Giacchino. Silvestri wasn't even on my radar. But he's got an impressive resume for sure.
