Well, the thread asks if she'll die in this one, which she won't.

More likely than not, they intend to flip things from the comics and have MJ die and Peter wind up with Gwen. Considering that Kirsten is leaving, and the producers issued a statement around the time of Bryce's casting about the Spidey movies having their own direction separate from the comics. Moreover there are things going on in the comics themselves that suggest Peter & MJ are ending.

MJ doesn't have to die just because Kirsten may be leaving. Tobey might leave too, but i'm sure he'll be replace. looks at the james bond movies. the batman movies. when a batman left, he was replaced.

i don't think MJ or Gwen will die.

Batman Begins was a complete reinvention, so of course recasting wasn't a big deal. However, the quality of the franchise dropped with each recasting (from Keaton to Kilmer to Clooney), because the latter two could never capture what Keaton created. But then again, the films just blew on their own, as well.

by the batman movies, i meant the original series. and yes, the quality of the franchise did drop, but it doesn't matter. Hollywood will milk anything for all its got. therefore, if tobey leaves, chaces are the series will go on without him. kirsten's role could easily be recast as well.
