Sequels Who would you bring back: Green Goblin or Doc Ock?

None of them

They already appeared, give the chance to another villian.

Yeah, like the Lizard. What are they waiting for?

I think its too soon for more Spidey films... all the good material has already been used... Sony should just focus on their Venom spinoff... then do another Spidey trilogy in like 5-6 years... recasting really won't be a big deal. The public will get burned out if they release a film every three years with less and less of the cast and crew returning after each sequel.

Maybe a fourth installment without Spidey taking off his mask all the time, with him finally making his silly and funny jokes while fighting superthugs, and without that much tear-jerking efforts (ouch!).

Maybe a new director could step in with a couple of those ideas. I'd like to see that happening.
And the Lizard, of course. :liz:

Not a fan of returning villains in films; it makes the movie episodic. Think about it; how many people assumed they'd have to cast a new Joker simply because the actor died? This is presuming that he would return; and why? (Had Heath Ledger not died would anyone talk about the next movie as if he's going to be in it?). He is so good at what he did, but if he returns, people are just going to want more and more and it'd just be overexposure -- lose his spark almost.

neither of them should return.
both green goblin and dr octopus had their time in the movies.
but Venom should return cause he only had short amount of time in Spiderman3

Bingo

No

Oh and you were so close to getting the mystery prize. Bringing venom back is just going to create a bigger mess and leave fanboys whining even more.

Neither of them. They all got a fitting end. I mean every villain from 1-3.

Ock. I still want my S6. GG's death set other, important events in motion.

Doc Ock for the Sinister 6 plus he was more awesome than Green Goblin i think

Ock...But I would love to see Dafoe in a bigger role than he had...Or more screen time for that matter...

GreenGoblin was the best, all round, portrayed villain in the series.

Agreed - having said that, Doc Ock definately had the edge visually speaking but I'm not going to get into the whole GG/Power Ranger thing again though.

That was so 2002. :cwink:

Yup. Definately.

Spidey has such a wealth of Rogues that it seems a wasted opportunity to re-visit a villain that's already had their cinematic time on the sun, given that only 1 of these films gets made every 2/3years.

Another guy should get a chance.

Hell yes; I bet when Dylan Baker initially signed on as Curt Conners - he wouldnt have believed you if you were to tell him that even by 2008, the Lizard would still be waiting for his big screen debut.

Pay attention to the scene where he's on the phone with Peter; look past him while he's talking. I'd be very surprised if the scaly one wasn't right around the corner.
And between 2004 & 2008, he's only appeared in two movies-as a supporting character.

Neither. Ock's character journey is over, and using him again hurts his arc in SM2. And the GG is better off dead to me. It was stupid to bring him back in the comic, and so would it be in the movie.

My compromise...HOBGOBLIN!!!

Enough of goblins.

In a reboot I would like to see the real, menacing and murderous and mad Green Goblin, but not with the present prospects.

Bring on the Lizard. Dylan Baker deserves it.

Wait till 5 if we get a 5 that is before we bring back an old foe

now, when we're talking about the Green Goblin returning, are we talking about Norman Osborn's GG, or someone new in the suit?

cause, Norman we know is dead, we saw his body, he was buried,...

Doc Ock, (of the two) does have at least some leeway, in that we never actually saw him die, they never said anything about recovering a body,...

not that I'd want either returning, but, of the two, Doc Ock, is more of a possibility
