I think Thor underestimated Iron Man first. He will not expect that a human would send him flying. Remember the fight in the shield base in his own movie. The guards were no match for him, nothing at all and that without his powers.

There's a big difference though, Iron Man is in a suit of armor while those guards were just using their human body's.

That's another reason why he should soundly defeat Cap and Iron Man, because if he can beat up dozens of well trained humans without his powers just imagine what he can do with them.

Yeah that's what I meant. I'm really excited about this fight and how it will end when the three realize that they are sitting in one boat and should not fight each other.

Hopefully either Coulson intervenes and reminds Thor of what he said in THOR or Cap uses his level head and talks Thor down.

He didn't give Thor a "beating" he kicked him and punched him, Thor's human sized so why wouldn't a kick from Iron Man send him flying?

A Frost Giant did it in THOR and I'd put Iron man above a Frost Giant.

A Frost Giant only knocked Thor back about 6 yards, Iron Man seemed to knock him back further. It depends on the context of the fight of course. Maybe Thor is down already when Iron Man attacks, just after Mjolnir hits Caps shield maybe?

Just thought though based on both Iron Man movies and the one Thor movie, Thor came accross a lot more powerful and Iron Man shouldnt be able to get hits that powerful on him.

Yeah, its just that I became a big Thor fan after the movie and Iron Man just doesnt seem capable of doing that to him.

Sending Thor flying does not equate to hurting him, I just wish they would've shown Thor landing a few hits on Iron Man as well.

They've been playing Thor down in the trailer a bit too much for my taste, most people don't seem to care but as a Thor fan I sure do.

Well, Cap's shield can absorb any impact, even one from Mjolnir, so Thor can defeat Cap but he'll have to use his other powers. And Iron Man is definitely not a pushover, that's why he is considered to be one of Marvel Universe's most powerful superhero. Yes, Thor can defeat both, but it is not as easy as defeating those agents from SHIELD.

Thor's hammer can't penetrate Cap's shield but let's not forget the vast difference in the power levels of the guys behind those weapons and Iron Man certainly isn't a pushover but isn't really much of a match for Thor.

I was wondering about this .... even the Mjolnir? I noticed there's a shot of basically an eruption after he lays the hammer down on it and Thor explodes back. I'm just not buying that. The that weapon is the most powerful thing in the universe ...... vibranium's going to absorb it enough to send him tossing back like that?

Nah I think that's a seperate scene edited together to look like it's a part of the scene where Thor hits Cap's shield.

Yeah but it doesn't have to be the exact same scene, I don't think the two shots of Iron Man attacking Thor happen in the same scene either.

I'm not entirely convinced that the blast is coming from Thor striking Cap's shield, but I do think it would cool if that's what's happening. Just a massive blast sending them both flying.

And i'm guessing that it is for a very good reason...thor will come back to stomp ironman, practically submit cap..bust the **** out of that cage...and ultimately defeat loki and (in a team effort ) destroy the leviathan/s.

I feel a little bit like this too, but RDJ said Thor is going to kick his ass in an interview so I'm not worried too much.

To make myself feel better about this I say its just a trailer, they aren't going to show the whole fight. Iron Man did say "We need a time out." Maybe because Thor started to kick their ass?

My guess is it ends with them agreeing to stop fighting, like it should. I am sure Thor has his awesome moments in that fight, also. They just had to feature Iron Man doing something cool.
