True Iron Man will definitely be a help....even if it's only to a punch bag whilst Cap recovers lol.

Exactly, I want to see Thor shrug off a few missiles and repulsor blasts from Iron Man which should lead to a big "WTF is he" moment.

They have no chance..Unless batman shows up with his prep time.:D

Or Reed Richards, he's even a bigger deus ex machina than Batman with his "prep time".

True that.

I think the first encounter with Thor will be an eye-opener not just for Tony, but for *everyone.*

Up until this point (unless there's somehow been more cross-dimensional encounters in the ensuing two years since the prequel movies), about the only (name) characters who've even seen Thor in action were Selvig and Son of Coul. And all they can really say about him is that he beat the hell out of a giant robot (not really a robot, I know, but that's probably the way the humans would perceive it) and conjured up a wicked lightning storm/tornado, and flew up into it before disappearing.

I'm willing to bet that it's Cap who is able to talk Thor down and reason with him, instead of Tony....and that'll probably mark the beginning of a dialogue of mutual respect between Steve and the God of Thunder, while Tony and Thor's rapport will be a lot more, shall we say, strained.:yay:

I guess that's more or less how things will play out, cherokeesam.

Man that would be great Cherokeesam, I definately would love for Cap to realize that calming Thor down and rationalizing is the only way they're gonna stop him.

Thor and Cap have a very deep mutual respect for each other in the comics and I definately hope to see that brought to life on the big screen.

Me as well BT.

The moment when Thor is about the land on the jet but is just a shadowed figure is such a comic book panel

/thinking out loud

It's going to be kind of amusing to see if this happens, where Thor possibly ends up being the only one who isn't surprised or taken aback by all of these creatures/aliens arriving on earth Alongside Loki given his experience with otherworldly beings.lol

Yes it's posted in news and speculations thread. But thanks for the hint.

Ah, sorry for double posting it.

What do you all expect to see from Thor in the next, longer trailer? Do you expect to see any Hulk v Thor action or will Marvel save it all for the movie?

I expect to see Thor finally doing more than just looking cool, I want to see some shots of him taking out large groups of aliens and flying through the air destroying enemy aircrafts.

I also want to see Thor using a few lightning attacks, a few more shots of Thor vs Cap & Iron Man as well as some shots of Thor vs Hulk.

Don't worry the article about the BAFTA's was interesting too.

At first I wish Thor get some memorable lines maybe with Cap or Tony. I would also enjoy some interaction with Loki. A hint for a fight with the Hulk would be cool too.

When I think it over there's so much I want to see.

Oh yeah, I'd definitely love to see a hint of any Thor scenes with Loki. And Thor vs the Dragony beasty thing would be fabulous.

Yeah, I'm willing to bet that Thor recognizes most, if not all, of whatever creatures make up Loki's army. He's probably battled most of them, too ---- just not all at the same time. :yay:

Yeah I'd love to see a shot of Thor unleashing a HUGE lightning storm onto the "Leviathian" or whatever the giant creature is called.

If you read the comments, everyone thinks that the answer is Miley Cyrus, who is dating Liam Hemsworth, but slept with Chris.

hahahaha oy ve!!!!
Well you have to figure the actual norse gods weren't so different. lol

Sounds like another character we know! In fact, it's funny cause in Thor 385 when Hulk vs Thor, Hulk actually quit the fight and Thor was ready to continue cause he was pissed; so yeah he definitely has a temper
