The Avengers "Whosoever holds this hammer, if he be Hemsworthy, shall possess the power of Thor" - Part 4

Yeah this thread's name is both funny and badass at the same time. :woot:

For some reason the thread name makes me think of this picture.

^^ Is this the clone you guys spoke of a side before? ;-))

I saw Avengers again yesterday after seeing it twice opening weekend. Third time around I noticed a lot more Thor than I did before, interesting.

As a Thor fan I was definately more satisfied with his involvement after my second and third viewing.

I meant in terms of cloning a main protagonist.

Foot soldiers are naturally fodder, so it really makes no difference to me if they're cloned.

You have not quelled my anger with that statement.... You've only exacerbated it 1000x fold!!:argh:

Big Boss, Solidus Sanke, Solid Snake, Liquid Snake and all the rest of the Big Boss clone soldiers will not be pleased when I show them this. :oldrazz:

Okay, just going to sum it up. Clones in comic books suck. Almost exclusively comics for some reason.

And that's a stretch for me but I haven't read many X-23 appearances aside from some Uncanny X-men.

they pushed hulk as the powerhouse in a more showy way, but there were definitely some little scenes that put Thor right up there, and im not talking about his hulk fight

the cage that was supposed to hold the hulk, Thor almost broke it in one hit without putting a lot of effort into it, and then when falling did break through in one hit

when the leviathon first comes and hulk one punches it, all the avengers look nervous, stark says his line about bringing the party, widow says something about it not being a party, and when Thor sees it he gets all excited to fight it.

and the bit in the iron man fight that everyone here probably noticed but not many of the GA. when Iron Man is draggin him along the cliffs, Thor pushes off the cliff and sends them flying to the ground even though iron mans thrusters are going the opposite way

Plus he started crushing Iron Man's arms, which is remarkable given that the suit is so damn durable not even getting caught in the Helicarrier's propeller could slice through it. BTW, how durable IS Stark's suit really? It brushes off missiles like nothing...what is it made of lol? It looks as durable as vibranium.

Not *as* durable, note what Cap's shield has stood up to. Its definitely some kind of super alloy, though.

Yeah I noticed that too, Thor basically overpowered Iron Man's thrusters just by kicking himself off the mountain.

That kick also caused Thor to steer IM all the way back into the forest which caused them to crash into the ground.

Question: Has anyone read Hemsworth's training plans for Thor 2? I noticed he didn't have the time to bulk up all the way after slimming down for another post-Thor part.

That really is going to throw a monkey wrench into things, well I hope he atleast gets as big as he was in The Avengers.

I read an article where he said he hates dieting because he becomes irritable and his wife usually catches the brunt of it. He says he prefers eating like a horse and lifting weights. :woot:

No idea who the hell those guys are.

Yes indeed sir! All the characters he's referring to are from the MG series :)

I used to be the biggest video game freak growing up. I argued incessantly with my Sega buddy about Nintendo .... even down to the hardware specs. I also used to sit and wait for the mailman to bring me my Electronic Gaming Monthly and GamePro mags the day they were due to arrive.

It's funny how much has changed. I can't even remember the last time I played a video game. Not quite sure what happened.
