The Avengers "Whosoever holds this hammer, if he be Hemsworthy, shall possess the power of Thor" - Part 4

No one stays dead in the MU :o :D
....apart from Wasp strangely :(

I'm two years behind in the UK, hence why I didn't know if Thor was back. He isn't even "dead" yet where I am.

Yeah he [blackout]"died" in Fear Itself, was replaced by Tanarus (who was really Ulik the troll in disguise), and fought his way out of limbo.[/blackout]

...I'm getty sick and tired of Marvel killing them off too. Get a bit more original like LOKI in Journey into Mystery. We get it already, Thor and the Asgardians can die and come back to life more easily than most.

hehe took two of my best girlfriends to see the avengers tonight (they wanted to know what was so great about a film I've seen so many times)

both came out complete Thor fans, to the point they've organised a 'comic book movie night' this sat to watch his movie =)

shouldn't be suprised really, it's impossible not to love him :thor:

heh Bet it's more a HEMSWORTH fan than Thor fan lol

hehe for one of them, yes thats defo true but the other, we went for dinner after and we talked for AGES about him and what his deal is... ah its so much fun to get people into this stuff! :woot:

lol yeah SOMETIMES it can be cheaper entertainment. lol

I wish I could convince my friends so easily to come see a CBM with me! unfortunately none except two of my friends are into comic books or superhero movies like I am :(

I need some new friends haha lol!

Note that Hulk, when he leaped down from similar height, was knocked unconscious for a fairly extended period of time. My guess is, if Thor didn't escape from the cage, he'd have at least been badly injured ( he has similar durability, but lesser/no regeneration, and falling in the cage would have been more injurious than a controlled leap downward ). Loki would have taken it worse, and if he weren't killed would have been at least put into a body cast for months.

Thor still hit the ground head first though, there was nothing "controlled" about his landing.

On a side note, I remembered while watching TA in theaters on how I heard a lot of: "Gasps" or "Holy #@%" when people saw Thor headbutt Iron Man several feet away from it.

Yeah, that moment always gets a reaction. It's a really inspired piece of fight choreography. The reason being, I think, that the fight has been a bit back and forth, and Thor has the upper hand just prior to that, with the armor crushing and all. So, you are really expecting Iron Man to get the upper hand again, it appears that he does, and then Thor just bonks him right back with his head! LoL!

People often confuse immortal with invincible.

Immortal = you live forever, but can be killed.

Invincible = You cannot be killed.

Loki and Thor are both immortal, but not invincible.

Disagree. I strike Immortal as living forever, and can be killed, but also might not be. I feel like there isn't a word for what they are.

Cause to me, Invincible means you can't even be hurt, yet alone killed.

Though they are Immortal, I don't think "invincible" is the proper word as some people are saying so, cause to me, invincible is not just not being able to die, but its also not being able to be hurt.

Yeah, he definitely sounds like the new 'it' guy in Hollywood. Good for him, I say.

Jeez hemsworth is on a role. I mean this year alone he has cabin, avengers, snow white, and expendables 2. His popularity is going to be crazy by time Thor 2 roles around.

Actually, it's his brother that's in Expendables 2, not him.

Wrong Hemsworth. Liam is in that, not Chris.

EDIT- Oops, beaten to the punch.

Oh rly, da** he looks just like chris in the E2 trailer. I didn't even know he had a brother that acted too, nice. I was just assuming it was chris since i saw hemsworth.

Edit- what other movies has liam been in?
