I saw the word "snake" though and thought back to my Metal Gear days on Nintendo. Is that what it's from?
not to derail the thread butt yea. There were more metal gear games made during the PlayStation 1, 2, and 3 periods too.

Big Boss was the codename of the legendary soldier who founded the U.S. Army Special Forces Unit, FOXHOUND.

Solidus Snake, also known as George Sears, and commonly referred to as Solidus, was the 43rd President of the United States, and a product of the Les Enfants Terribles project, making him the "third son" (and perfect clone) of Big Boss.

Solid Snake (real name David,[4][5] commonly referred to as Snake, and later referred to as Old Snake), was a former spy, special operations soldier and mercenary. He was a product of the Les Enfants Terribles project and "son" (clone) of legendary soldier, Big Boss, along with his "brothers" Liquid Snake and Solidus Snake.

Liquid Snake, commonly referred to as Liquid, was the former squad commander of High-Tech Special Forces Unit FOXHOUND, and the twin brother of Solid Snake. Liquid was one of the "Sons of Big Boss," created as part of the Les Enfants Terribles project, along with his clone brothers, Solid Snake and Solidus Snake.

So how about that Thor :oldrazz:

I read an article where he said he hates dieting because he becomes irritable and his wife usually catches the brunt of it. He says he prefers eating like a horse and lifting weights. :woot:

Nice, I am very glad to hear that. Scar Predator.

Just curious, but which version of Thor vs Loki did you guys like seeing the most? The one in "Thor" or the one in "The Avengers"?

Avengers. The one in Thor was horribly one sided. At least in Avengers he picked up some tricks from some intergalactic criminals.

Really?

The fight in THOR seemed more even, because in TA Thor was man handling Loki and continued to kick his ass after the "shanking".

I liked Thor vs Loki in Avengers the most. I know this is going to come across that I'm bloodthirsty or something, but the one in Avengers atop Stark Tower is just more brutal - more personal, especially once the weapons are dropped and Thor is just going at him with his fists (and actually hitting Hiddleston - because Tom told him to *lol*). I'd also say that I include the forest scene as part of the Thor vs Loki in Avengers as well, and that scene alone... not a fight with fists but with words I absolutely LOVED. The brotherly angst was played so well by Hiddleston & Hemsworth.

Yeah, definitely liked Thor vs Loki in Avengers more.

That's completely my opinion, too, there's nothing more to say.

As far as fights go, I prefer The Avengers, but my favorite scene between them is the confrontation on the cliff top. So much passion and anger and I love how Thor slams Loki down roughly onto the rocks when they first land.

By the way, on an Avengers ad on tv tonight they showed the Hulk punching Thor scene, as well as quite a few other scenes they haven't shown before.

As far as character moments go, the dialogue scene between Thor and Loki was one of the best, if not the best in the film for me. Hemsworth and Hiddleston have fantastic chemistry, and you could really empathize with both of them in that scene.

I still want a tazor/stungun that looks like Mjolnir.

I saw someone mention a moment in the comics where a fireman or cop handed Thor his hammer before running to safety. Thor then does a double take after realizing what just happened. I thought that would make for a good scene in the movies.

Apologies for my ignorance, especially since I’m not fully aware of what Thor’s durability is like, but one of my friends had raised a question that had me starting to scratch my head as well.

Is there a reason why Thor didn’t/couldn’t just stay up on top of the large building and constantly shoot out his large sums of powerful lightning bolts at any and all aliens coming through that portal? Wouldn’t that have helped in shortening the onslaught of waves coming in?

Thor would never get his hammer back if mjolnir could be held by every nurse, fireman, pastor, lollipop lady, surgeon, porn star fluffer on the planet.

My guess is it takes energy and his body is durible but not impervious to harm so even he would eventually get tired so doing that for an indefinate amount of time would be a lot.

Makes sense. thanks:yay:

It was a brief comical moment. Nothing more.

I don't think that scene implied every blue collar working class person is worthy. Simply that, this particular person was and it was funny because the human was clueless as to what he was actually capable of and Thor did.

Hell, yes! Mads Mikkelsen would be great to see! Loved him in "Casino Royale" and he was the best in "Clash of the Titans".

Thats weird. Wouldn't the person feel all the Thor Power flowing through him once he picked up the Hammer? Isn't that what happened to Captain America when he lifted the Hammer?

He was good in King Arthur as well. Forgot that was even him until I saw it mentioned and then proceeded to watch that particular movie again.

Its variable, but usually, the way it works is supposed to be that the person merely can pick up and use Mjolnir. Thor's own innate powers are his own, when they aren't being taken away by Odin.

In Thor 2, would you rather have Thor with the shorter hair from Thor 1, or the lighter, longer hair from TA? I kinda like both
