Why are people so skeptical of UFO's?

We are probably all wrong here.... ALL of us.
Well, considering I haven't made any assertions OR assumptions, I don't see how that can be the case.

And to say a particular fuel or means of travel could or could not be used is a pretty big assumption in and of itself. No?
Who is arguing the latter?

You do understand that Dr. and I are two different people, right?

Yup :yay:

Hey dude there is a crazy "sex bug" in Hawaii I just read about it on the boards! Be careful, idk your situation but don't go messin around with nasty people, we need to still battle on this forum. :jedi

Thanks, lol. I'm married, and my wife is on the mainland right now. So I'm not planning on fooling around. Although, I'll be reunited with her in three days! So as long as she doesn't come here and decide to get freaky without me, we'll probably be okay.

Well then that wouldn't make you part of the "we" would it?

Unless by we I meant as a world wide collective. If that were the case then you would have to say you have never made an assumption or an assertion for your entire life.

Marvolo was arguing the latter when he complained about the assumptions made about FTL travel.

Although the claim he was countering was a bit on the assertive side.

Ha awesome, just lookin out. We may all may disagree sometimes on threads but this is a good community. I wouldn't wish a deadly mutant sex bug on anyone here. Not yet anyway.

Congrats on only 3 days away from seein her!

Am I the only one staying on topic here? Everyone seems to be having petulant little arguments over assumptions and assertions. WTF?

Do you ever get to see Chapman that bounty hunter geezer? He makes me LMFAO

I’m of the view that “economics” - rather than technology - is the stronger objection to alien visitations. Even allowing that advanced ETs have the knowhow to build intergenerational starships or near-lightspeed starships or a network of artificial wormholes, such undertakings would be enormously expensive (in effort, time, resources). And for such hypothetical ETs, nothing that Earth has would be worth this investment. Now, if they just want to say “you are not alone” or generously provide us with the Encyclopedia Galactica (to accelerate our progress), this can be done with radio (or similar) communication. No costly (physical) commute necessary.

If you are on a UFO forum and dont know who that is....I'd advise you to go find out...now.

Maybe they're just that bored.

He's the man. His hair is just the tip of the awesome iceberg that is that man.

There see now your applying our way of life to a hypothetical, advanced extra-terrestrial civilisation. Implying they couldn't give a crap what's going on just so long as they get paid when they get back so as to put food on the table for their alien brood. As for radio waves? That is so like pissing in the wind, a massive waste of time IMO. SETI = waste of time.

But is it really that aweome?

Don't get me wrong, I find it very intriguing when ancient aliens shows a level of precision cutting that would be hard to replicate today...... Then tell you its a few thousand years old.

Mind bending.

But when it comes down to it, though they claim the opposite, for me these guys are just saying......God was an alien.

Okay. We are in the same spot before that was said.

Again, I'm not hating. In fact I watch every AA show that I can. Love it.

LOL I'm not a fanatic of the show by any means. I love to watch it I just love this dudes hair, he looks crazy. He looks like every ET theorist should in my eyes. Like the crazy Roswell Scientist in Independence Day

Oh okay.

In that aspect I totally agree. That dude is the awesome sauce.

Ahh he's the bloke that puts everything ancient man achieved down to extra terrestrial intervention. He's entertaining I'll give him that. Crazy, but entertaining none the less.
