Thanks a lot! Some nice ideas there mr. earle. I to wouldnt mind if they went the route of STAS for brainiac and tie him to krypton/ Or if you want to keep him a colu to still be the cause or one of the contributing factors to why krypton blew up and all that.
As for origin i said it time and time before i still want to see it. Since if we are going to the hassle of a totally new start new begining for a film series. We need to see why things are new and different in this story compared to past tv shows or the donnor movies and all that. Only question is how do you want to play out the origin bits in the movie.
Since its a reboot, they will have to show the origin so that the audience understands that the story starts over. They should at the very least show it when the titles fall at the beginning.
But i already explained how i want to see the origin handled. I want to learn more about Clark, i want to see him active, alive (not like the lifeless doll he was in SR) but of course i want none of the Smallville crap either. But just because the Smallville show is a POS, it doesnt mean that the movie should ignore Clark's teen years. They should aknowledge and show them. I am really interested in seeing him progress from a farmboy to a dynamic Metropolis reporter. Seeing his last days in Smallville, saying goodbuy to Lana, his friends and his parents, and then going in the belly of the monster that is called the city, with lots of noise, traffic, strange people and places, different people who arent as friendly and helpful as the villagers, Lois making fun of him for being a farmboy, etc.
I just had another idea: The fact that he feels alone in the city could be the reason that Clark sympathises with Jimmy and he is the only one that pays attention to him and doesnt treat him like a slave. Clark takes care of him and helps him climb the ladder by helping him get shots of Superman.
And i want to see Lana. I remember that in a STAS episode Superman meets Lana and she instantly knows its Clark. She tells him that she always knew there was something supernatural about him and that the first time she heard about Superman she knew it was him. I'd like a Lana that doesnt know about Clark's powers, or at least she doesnt know how he plans to use them. The film would specify that she doesnt know that. And at some point during the film i'd have a scene where Superman prevents an accident at the streets of Metropolis while Lana is exiting a shop. Superman doesnt notice her and flies away but Lana smiles and says "go get them Clark!" implying that she knew him well enough to figure out that he is Superman.
