Days of Future Past Why do you think Raven rescued Wolverine?

Because they can't resist the idea of putting Hugh and Jennifer together. He's going to have his love interest in Jean in the future and something with Mystique in the past. Mark my words.

It's all about those two.

I just want Wolverine to stab Mystique in the throat. That way, we'd get three things:

1) Throat-stabbing
2) No forced love story between them
3) Mystique's X1 voice back! (permanently damaged vocal chords)

Could Mystiques Solo actually be a Wolverine/Mystique movie

Well it ain't a X-Men film without Wolverine in it.

He he. Had to do it.

I wonder when did the rescue happen? Is it on the same day or a year have passed?

This is what I immediately thought about with the ending.

If Mystique is somehow responsible for Logan going through the adamantium process that would be a great setup for the next solo Wolvie movie to be based on the "Get Mystique" story arc.

but why would Mystique want Wolvie to get the adamantium?

It's pretty obvious that Mystique is a mutant liberator in this film. We saw her save Havok and 3 others from the clutches of Stryker and Trask earlier.

Wolverine is the mutant most notable for being a victim of Stryker's experiments in this series.

It's clear that she was rescuing Logan from his experiments.

She took note of who Stryker was when they met and she impersonated him because it gives her leverage. Stryker is the one that picks them up so less questions will be asked by subordinates.

Yeah, he got rescued. Mystique was on a revenge trip after what experimentation was done on her friends that left them all dead, so it's obvious that she wouldn't let someone do the same to Wolverine.

Bingo.

There's also the possibility that she's putting together her own team. I agree with whoever suggested that. Maybe she want Wolverine to be part of it, alongside Havok and others. Her actions being purely malevolent very much go against the ideas presented at the end of the movie, and Xavier's own words.

I hope it's actually addressed, (unlike the Emma, break out scene at the end of first class)

He is a mutant and she is recruiting new allies after Erik betrayed her.

My guess is Mystique and Wolverine will be part of an unofficial team in Apocalypse. And whether intentionally or not, it will lead to Logan being recruited by Apocalypse into being a horseman. This will cause Mystique to seek out Charles in the next movie.

The reason I want Logan and Mystique to form their own team and make an X-Force movie on their own is because I dont want those 2 stars to take away the spotlight from the origin of Scott, Jean, Storm, plus Gambit in X-Men Apocalypse.

I fear they might not be able to give the proper character development and action beats to those 4 important characters if the writer and director have to service 2 international superstars.

Kinberg already answered, and you ask it today?

He did? Do you have a link?

I would love an on-screen version of Get Mystique, would work well for Wolverine 3 I reckon

I honestly think they shouldn't have revealed it to be Raven, him being taken by Stryker was a perfect ending to make things go full circle.

I totally agree, that moment was my only problem with the ending, Stryker revealed to be Mystique, I think it would have had MUCH more impact if it just ended with Stryker being Stryker and saying the "I'll take it from here" line.

Thought that too but maybe it would have taken too much away from the fact wolverine volunteered for the treatment at weapon X

No, I think the way it ended tells people things are going in a different direction. We know what's up with Stryker, there's no mystery to that. This sets it up for the events of the altered timeline that follows.

Gives things a bit of a cliffhanger.

100 % agreed. I love the fact that thngs can go differently now from the orignal trilogy.

Exactly. We were told repeatedly by Kinberg and Singer that there were going to be consequences and side-effects to the time-travel mission.

This was definitely one of them.

Honestly, it couldve just been a coincidence. She was disguised as a random soldier. She walked her way back to where the army was stationed. She disguised herself as Lieutenant Stryker and then they got the call to search the nearby body of water for whatever fell in there. She just so happened to be excited that she got to save this mutant.

Now they will be allies in X:A

Yep. On the a Empire podcast, Kinberg said the ending at the mansion was such an overly happy ending that they needed to leave some things uncertain at the end, since there's obviously more story to come.

The whole point of this movie was that things DON'T come full circle. That things have changed. Having it actually be Stryker would have completely gone against that idea.
