Quick, Loganbabe...HIGH FIVE!! We've accomplished our mission!!!
We´re the best, aren´t we? :)
So, what´s next...how about starting a rumour that Scott´s optical blasts are responsible for the global warming... :p

I knew it, you're Tom Rothman's personal ****.
Beautiful...just beautiful. *clap, clap*
Funny that the Wolverine fans are the ones who come up as the posters offending and calling Cyke´s fans names...

Yeah!! that's a good one ntcrawler.

@gambitfire - Haha, Kurosawa's post is very entertaining.:D

I only did that because you and danoyse are invading this thread. This thread is about "Why the hate for Wolverine" and nothing else but you two come here and defend him. If you want to do that then make a "Why the hate for Cyclops" thread.:)

Im not going to lie as offensive and blunt as they mayb be..............they are very entertaining at times.

I bight my tongue after all im a cajun fan and cajun deosn't do that neither does Cyclops. We like our characters because we are like them. And Frankly im not animal with a heart of gold......... because that's so relatable. :D :p

i have a red heart though, is that good?

Don't provoke them. Although it will probably be like 3 hugh jackman and 2 Wolverine fans in it.

I know im being bad here with the insults but what can i say Danoyse gave me permission so ive been priviledged. ;).

Actually this thread is supposed to be about people venting their frustrations at WHY they hate Wolverine. I don't see how you can defend that. They're not attacking him, they are telling you why they don't like him. It's not meant to be a debate in the first place. Otherwise the topic would be "should we like or hate Wolverine?"

lol i know, but don't you see ive been priviledged by danoyse how can i live that down. :p

edit- ROTLFMAO ill stop this is my last post.

Goodnight Nt, Hulkster, and Danoyse :).

I didn't come here to argue with them I just want to know if they know they're on the right thread

Man you post so fast, gambitfire.:)

ntcrawler said:
No, I didn't ignore them. I just won't give you the satisfaction of trying to convince me that Jean's attraction to whatever Logan had to offer her would be enough of a force to break apart the bond she has with Scott or to even be seen as a considerable threat.
Ok, so you chose to ignore it... :o

Hello, Hulkster! Good to be here. :)
Hmm, I thought you didn´t like it when fans offended each other...but when it´s a Cyke fan offending Wolvie fans it´s okay, then? :down

Actually the title of this thread can be read both ways, it could be:

Why the hate for Wolverine? I really dont see what people's problems are.

or it could be read like

Why the hate for Wolverine? I'll tell you why this character sucks.

So there is no definate point of view in this thread.

lol good point. ok this is last post good night :p :)

The sad part is, I haven't seen anything posted here to make people want to change their minds. The ones who really hate Wolverine to turn their opinions around and maybe take another look at the character and give him a chance. All I see so far is defense trying to say that Wolverine is still better and more interesting than anyone else.

No one tries to point out the char's good sides or how much he cares about his teammates and is willing to risk his life to save someone else, instead it's almost always about his coolness factor and superiority.

I did not ignore it.

How do you want me to respond to that? Yeah, you're right? Jean really is all over Logan? It's so sizzling hot they're melting the ground underneath them? Because I don't see it that way.

Besides that passage doesn't prove anything. There's never been any doubt that Jean really likes Logan. What the book fails to do is explain the reasons for this liking. The fact that they can open up and relate to each other is not going to undermine a 15 year-long bond that goes beyond normal concepts of love and trust.

I didn't see that post until after I said hello. Besides it's not like you've ever rallied behind me. All you've ever done is come down at me as soon as I say a word of criticism against Wolverine. You always take it personally and from your posts you make it look like your blood pressure shoots through the roof.

Invading this thread, you say?!?
Have you read the first post? It was a fan defending Wolverine and asking why all the stupid hatred was about anyway.
But maybe you read "Why I hate Wolverine". Figures...
And even if we were "invading" this thread, that´s how you react? Insulting? Yeah, nice way of making an argument... :o

The characters should learn to work better together as well as their writers and their fans.

I´m always posting his good sides, and I never defend Logan based on coolness factor or superiority. Altough I see nothing wrong in defending a character based on his coolness factor. It´s a character trait as good as any other.
Logan is a wonderful character because he´s flawed. Those flaws make him more human, more near us, and maybe that´s his greatest attraction.
I´ve noticed that many Cyke fans think he´s the perfect man. The perfect leader, the perfect husband to Jean, the perfect friend. Well, Logan is nowhere near perfect. He´s brave, he´s noble, he´s protective, but he has a dark side that scares even him. He´s fascinating because he´s contraditory, deep and simple at the same time.
If you say you don´t hate the character, I´d like to see more of this appreciation, not only the "munching bear" stuff. Yeah, I know all about that scene in Ultimate, but it was a particular situation. Now, talking as if Logan does it on a daily basis or that he lusts after Jean like a horny dog only makes him look like a mere animal. And that´s what the haters like to call him when comparing him to the "perfect man" Scott Summers.

My arguments are as good as yours. There´s nothing in the movies that prove that Jean and Scott have had a stable relationship for 15 years. We know that they were a couple and that they learned together how to control their powers, but not that they were bonded for life.
And the fact that Jean and Logan opened up to each other says a lot. Especially regarding Wolverine, and that old argument that he was only lusting after her. Logan opening up to anyone means a hell lot.

I didn't see that post until after I said hello. Besides it's not like you've ever rallied behind me. All you've ever done is come down at me as soon as I say a word of criticism against Wolverine. Well, since a "Wolverine conspiracy" exists, there´s a Cyclops one too...Cyke fans united in giving Logan fans collective heart attacks! :p
And like I said, I defend my favorite character. I´ve never seen you post anything good about Wolverine, altough you say you don´t hate him. I don´t take it personally, but if you or anyone else says anything about Logan that it´s worth a little debate, I´ll do it. I even tried to debate with Kurosawa, but with him it´s really impossible. At least he´s honest when he says he truly hates Wolverine, but it doesn´t make him a good poster, because he offends the fans just like this Hulkster person did.
You´re welcome to come down at me whenever I offend Cyke and/or his fans. But I really don´t see it happenening. ;)

You know why we hate Wolverine so much? because FOX replaced Cyclops with Wolverine with only one reason, because he's popular.

Imagine how would Superman Fans feel if Batman lead the Justice League and takes all of Superman's role, leadership and his lovelife because Batman is much popular than Superman? Or what if Spiderman takes over the Avengers and uses Captain America's shield as his weapon and shouting out loud "Avengers Assemble" just because he's much popular than Captain America?

The X-men isn't a Beauty Contest, it's about a team of mutants not just about the popular Wolverine.

Just a recap of reasons for hating Wolverine:
- too much screentime leaving not enough for other characters
- taking Cyclop's role in X3
- overexposure in the comics
- screen Wolverine watered down from the comics

All of these are valid.

I like Wolverine and I enjoyed X3 but I still think it was a misstep. I wanted a Wolverine spinoff so the character could be done properly rather than see an attempt to rub off the corners so he could take Cyclops' place. I also wanted an X3 with integrity and which could set up future episodes without the major players. Instead we got a fun but unsatisfying movie that closed off too many avenues. I'm hoping that Wolverine will take us back to the character we met in X1.

I don't hate anyone involved. I do think it's ironic that Fox, with their supposed stand against stars and director bonuses, chose to make X3 so star-driven.

Wolverine being at Cyclops`place is more exctiting to me than Cyclops being there because it`s "been there, done that". I don`t want to see the same thing as the freakin comics! But more importantly if you knew the X-Men, knew Wolvie, you would know that it`s fantastic what happened because Jean is the love of Logan`s life! Even in the comics I like would this angle better and the reason is? Because I like the Cyclops character so much and i`m tired of him being defined by his relation with Jean, being in the shadow of any other ladies for that matter.

I`m just tired that Scott is defined what happened to Jean. He`s a better character than that. Sure the character in the movie died but the actor playing Cyclops was unfit to be playing him anyway. Better get rid of him than having this boring actor crapping on Cyclops further. I have never seen any traces of Cyclops in those movies.

I don't know if you're "plain stupid" or just "acting stupid"? In case you didn't know Wolverine is almost present in all of Marvel's comic titles that's why where so tired of him. Or maybe you're living in another different timeline?:)
