Anyone have any update on this?

yes here's your update

Bane lifts Batman up and slams his back over his knee exactly like Knightfall but he does not break his back. Bruce can't walk until his spine is put back into place I guess is the best way to describe it

So awesome that we're going to get that iconic image in the film. It's going to be something really shocking to see. I suppose the batsuit saves his spine from breaking completely.

i think its safe to say that we know the answer at this point.

I can't wait to see the general audience as well as the fanboy audience reaction to this moment on screen. Its probably gonna be like :wow:

This was one of the moments where my jaw almost dropped to the floor. I couldn't even believe Nolan did it.

I'll be the only one in the theater going "YEEES!!! TAKE THAT BATMAN!!!!"

I'm really looking forward to it. I've read we even
get to hear a cracking sound during it. :wow:

Sooooooo saw the film...and am very pleased with my answer :)

I don't know the technicalities of it, but was the back actually broken? I know that Conti's character said that a vertebrae was sticking out, but I don't know what that means in the grand scheme of things. :o

Classic moment anyway that was completely unexpected, that is why you stay spoiler free peeps.

No it wasn't broken, just rearranged a bit

I imagine that the batsuit saved him from serious damage. He wasn't wearing grey cloth ala Knightfall.

So I guess the answer is...
...no. The way they went about fixing it probably hurt more than what Bane did though. "We'll just keep smacking it until you can walk again." :wow:

Damn that fight in the sewer was epically brutal!!! LOVED IT!

As for the, will Bane break the bat??!! :awesome:

Iconic imagery to say the least.

The sewer fight was so painful to watch, I could feel Batman's weak desperation. But when Bane picked him up to break him, I grew a huge smile from ear to ear. I'm so glad Nolan threw that in, so unexpected! But we all wanted it to happen.

I liked Batman's yell during the fight, urging himself on and letting out frustration.

The fight in the sewers was absolutely brutal and savage by Bane. I actually felt bad for Bruce when he was fighting and not even making an impact as Bane just continues to beat upon him with brute force . I started to get really emotional when Batman attempted to conceal himself within the darkness and Bane just grabs him by the neck then picks him up before delivering the Iconic knightfall imagery .

Bane lifted Bats over the head and I was so thrilled. I had no idea they would actually use that scene. When Hardy said "I will break you"... wow.

Haven't watched the movie but i wanted to know if Conti's character, after setting Bruce's spine back in place, say that he stayed at a holiday inn express last night?

Same here...and then when the actual impact happened, I seriously GASPED as loud as I could in the theater. So unexpected.

This fight was my favorite part of the film, so many awesome nods to the comics

It was unbearable for some people... definitively the most brutal scene in any movie I've seen, when you consider the history you've establish with Wayne and the delivery of the emotional, physical, and plot ramifications of the event.

There were some people in the audience genuinely shocked by the fight scene. A few people thought Bruce was dead. Some girl said " No ****ing way".

I didn't know if Nolan would actually have Bane do the knee back breaker. It was gruesome but I'm glad that was in there.
