it's impossible for your back to look really big with your arms in the postion of maguire's in that pic.

saying this, you are probably right, he was fairly tiny for spidey 2 which worked well considering he technically lost his powers, it would be hard to imagine a buff guy in that raindrops scene...he'd come off (dare i say) homosexual...
